Question : What is the best drugstore concealer and powder foundation for acne prone, combination skin?
Im currently using rimmel's clean finish & the stay matte powder but idont really like wearing liquid foundation all day for school. i have acne prone, combination skin. i dont have bad acne but i do have occasional 2-4 big pimples. i jus want to conceal my blemishes n jus powder over since its much easier than having to blend liquid n stuff. so can someone please tell what i should use? thank you and God bless(:

Question : What type of paint finish should I use for kitchen cabinets?
I'm painting my kitchen cabinets white. I need to use an oil base paint because I'm covering varnish. So, do I need to use Enamel paint or Acrylic? Also, should I put on a Flat, Satin, Semi-Gloss, or High Gloss finish?And why do you recommend that combination?BTW. the counter top will be a black granite and the hinges are a black iron look.Thank you very much for you help.

I would really consider buying new cabinet doors.It is really poor painting practice to paint over varnish. Paint does not get a really good grip on varnish and also it is rigid and the top coat chips easily from it. So as a professional decorator I simply don't do it full stop. If you insist, then at least abrade the entire surface of the varnish with a P120 grade or finer paper. This keys the surface to give the new paint something to grip on to. Dust down but do not wash the abraded surface as you awant those scratches sharp and not rounded off.Normal primers which rely upon soaking into bare wood do not work well on varnished wood because they lay on the top. Therefore, you need to use a special primer like Bullseye 1-2-3, a water-based product you'll get from a proper decorators merchants. These primers claim to glue themselves to the surface - however it is still an undeal compromise. Bullseye 1-2-3 is an easy paint to work with. Leave it to cure overnight before applying oil-based paints afterwards.After you have abraded and primed, I personally would apply one undercoat and two satin finish coats. Dulux satinwood is a very nice paint to work with. And yes you can use oil-based paints over cured water-based ones.Use a brush and a 4 inch foam roller (foam is not really for oil-based paints,but it works well for thinner coats). If you were slapping a job out and the finish didn't matter then you would apply paint at a normal thickness, perhaps a little heavy. If you want a better finish, then you have to stretch the paint out with a roller - the thinner coats are flatter. Hence you cannot skimp on coats and may need to do more.

theres no way of knowing, as everyone's body is different.i came off dianette and it took 6 months to properly clearthey say you should always wait a few months after coming off the pill anyway, to make sure your body can re-adjustgood luck, and baby dust! ********************************xxxx

Question : Foundation with matte - dewy finish for combination skin?
I have combination skin which means throughout the day my nose and t zone start to get shiny. I am currently using MAC Studio Fix fluid in NW15 and it has a matte finish. On top of this i add Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder all over (mainly on nose and t zone) and a Rimmel London bronzing powder (all over but mainly on cheeks). I don't feel comfortable not wearing a powder and just foundation, but this can make my skin look too matte. I am trying to achieve the MAC 'natural' look, but the one suggested on there for me was the Sculpt oil free foundation, but it is too expensive for only a small tube. Can anybody suggest a good oil free foundation with a matte - dewy finish please?

Hey there!I have combination skin too but I live in Asia so I'm not sure if this product is available where you live. But I use the True White Foundation by ZA. It's not expensive and available in the drugstores here. I also use Maybelline's Perfect B.B cream and mineral loose powder. The result I get from the foundation is a matte finish and it brightens up my skin too.Alternatively, I have tried Maybelline's mineral foundation and it works equally well for me.However, there are also certain products higher up in the market that I've tried and they work wonders, I'll just list them for you ;) I love the Chanel Le Blanc foundation, this gives a wonderful matte and dewy finish, the shu umera mousse foundation works wonderfully well too and it's finish though isn't exactly dewy, it is matte and very natural.I hope this helped!

Question : How do I get a good clean finish on a door after stripping it? And what product shall I apply then?
The door is the original front door on a 1934 house. We have added a porch.After stripping it with a combination of hot air blower and Nitromorse there are a few holes that need filling. Also some dark drip marks and dark areas. What shall I finally use as a cleaning agent and what shall I apply to give it a good natural wood finish? When it is ready I shall insert the leaded glass panel which I have comptetely re-leaded. Clever girl!

dont buy a new foundation - just mix your favourite (powder or liquid) with a little highligher/luminizer in your hand first, then apply for the finish you want. Also works great with body lotion for shoulders and legs etc
