Questions & Answers
Question : Why is a wedding ring more of a deterrent for women than men?
For example, when a woman sees a wedding band on a man's finger she is more likely to run for cover. When a man sees a wedding band on a woman's finger, it is like a magnet. Why is it that men find wedding bands so enticing and women see it as a red light. In other words, for men seeing that ring does not mean a thing, if anything, it makes a woman more appealing. why?
Answer:
They are just looking for no strings attached sex or in some cases its a conquest, see if they can get a married woman to cheat. Sadly most guys are real jerks. Lucky for me, I married one of the few decent ones out there. If you havent found one, keep looking and dont settle for a jerk.

Question : Wedding band purpose!?
I've noticed that a lot of women's wedding rings come with two rings, the main one and a band, What is the purpose of the Band? (other than accenting the main ring) is it part of a process?
Answer:
When a guy proposes he proposes with the engagement ring. When he walks down the aisle at the point of saying ‘I do’ he gives his gal the wedding band. She gives her man a wedding band too. This is the point where the two of you exchange wedding bands – one for the man and one for the lady.Good Luck!

Question : Women's opinions on Weddings & Wedding Rings.?
I have a co-worker that has been married for many years. She is in her early 50's & very flirty. She very rarely wears her wedding ring & says its no big deal. She had an office affair years ago & I want to know from a females perspective: Is the Wedding & the Ring the major big deals to women. Most men could get married at the courthouse & be ok with it & most could care less about the wedding band that they receive. I think the co-worker is on the prowl & would cheat again if she could get away with it again. I don't want anything to do with her from anything more than a friendship standpoint I just want to hear from other ladies to hear if she is making excuses on why she isn't wearing the ring & the wedding issue.
Answer:
wearing the ring does not mean cheating. Some just don't like to wear jewelry or have jobs where it isnt appropriate to wear them.

Question : Why do women wear their wedding band and then their engagement ring??
if you look at a woman's ring finger you will, usually, see the wedding band closer to the finger and then the engagement ring.why is this?shouldn't it be the engagement ring and THEN the wedding band, since that's the order in which you receive them??thanks!what i mean, is there a logical explanation or is it that way "just b/c"??thanks!
Answer:
All the above answers are logical. However, I have always thought that the wedding ring is the ring that always stays on your finger and the engagement ring is sometimes taken off to avoid scratching babies, or damaging it when washing up or gardening or something.Just a thought..

Question : Settle This Disagreement About Wedding Jewelry?
My fiance and I have been disagreeing about what jewelry is associated with an engagement and a wedding. The way I understood it, there was the engagement ring, and a set of two wedding rings, called wedding bands, one for the bride and one for the groom. The engagement ring and the brides wedding ring can be bought as a set and made to fit together, although this is not necessary. My fiance insists that there is first the engagement ring, and then the wedding band, which is sold as a set with the 2 wedding rings, and that the wedding band and the wedding ring are made to fit together on the woman's hand, seperate from the engagement ring. Please explain to us what is correct, and, if possible, give a credible website with the information listed so that whoever is wrong can clearly see what is correct. Thanks.
Answer:
The wedding ring and band are interchangeable terms. It is a ring because it goes around the finger, it is a band style ring because it has no stone. Therefore it is common to purchase 2 wedding rings/bands one for the husband and one the wife. The wife then wears hers with her engagement ring. This makes a total of 3 rings, 2 for the wife, 1 for the husband. The woman might have her wedding ring(band) made to fit with the engagement ring. Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia."One interpretation states that the woman wears the wedding ring below the engagement ring, thus making it closer to the heart. Another practice holds that the woman should wear the wedding ring above the engagement ring, thus sealing the atmosphere of the engagement into the marriage. Still others prefer that the wedding ring should be worn alone. Further, modern ring sets in the United States are often marketed as a three-piece set, including the man's wedding band, the woman's engagement ring, and a slender band that is mounted to the engagement ring before the wedding, converting it into a single, permanent wedding ring"

Question : Since the man pays for the woman's engagement ring, does she buy his wedding band?
Just wondering what the tradition is for this.
Answer:
I have always known that the bride buys the grooms and the groom buys the brides rings... for me and my fiance we have lived together for a long time and our finances are now pretty much both of ours so we will just be budgeting it in as one thing we need to get altogether.

Question : What should a woman's wedding band look like?
So I got a nice engagement ring that has three diamonds on it in a row. My fiance and I will be looking at wedding bands this weekend but I'm not sure what would look right. I want to continue to wear my engagement ring with my wedding band. Should I get a plain white gold band or will it be ok to get a band with diamonds going around the ring or just in front, or will that be too much? My engagement didn't come in a set so I'm not sure what kind would look good with it.
Answer:
I was a jeweler for a few years. This is a question I was asked at least 3 times a week. the best answer is try on any band that you see and like. You will eventually find one that you love. Don't buy it, if you don't love it, or before you shop around some. There is no way it should look. It is okay to have a plain band, or one with diamonds or even a solid band with a textured finish, or matte, or pave, or smooth. Its your wedding band, so it should be what you love. Congrats on getting married!

Question : Anyone know of a good website to shop for palladium engagement rings and wedding bands?
I'm having trouble finding palladium engagement rings, specifically. My searches have taken me mostly to men's wedding bands, but I'm looking for women's jewelry and men's.
Answer:
If you are asking me, go to http://www.whiteflash.com:) There are plenty of places to shop online but I happened to be partial. Palladium offers a great price alternative to Platinum. It is a metal that will be hard to work with if you are considering intricate designs. Platinum is white. Palladium is white, but not as white – kind of has a darker cast to it ( you can try looking at the two metals side by side yourself). Lastly Palladium is lighter than Platinum. If all of those points are not show stoppers, it’s worth saving $1000.Good Luck!

Question : Does a man's wedding band HAVE to match the bridal set?
Are there any rules around the man's wedding band matching the woman's bridal set? Does it matter?
Answer:
No. It's up to him to decide what he will be happy wearing the rest of his life. It usually looks better if they are the same color metal, but even that's not a rule. My wedding band is a very petite antique platinum and diamond eternity band. It's only 2.5mm wide and I can't think of a better way to describe it, but the metal "conforms" around each diamond with a hexagon. It looks like the diamonds are floating almost, and is lovely on my hand and doesn't get in my way because it's small and flat. Something that small would look stupid on my husbands finger though. His band is much bigger, and is made up with "squares" with 4 princess cut diamonds across the top (one in a square). It goes well with my band, but doesn't match exactly and is much more masculine. I don't feel the need to have a match match set. I don't like big, and his hands are huge so they need big. It's all an individual preference, and you should each select what you like best.
