I Asked this question a few minutes ago, & all answers were Sort of helpful, But i should have said i was looking for The bridal Sets ( that is The engagement & wedding rings that go together. or a 2 or 3 piece set. together) My Profile pic is something like i had in mind. this is what i wanted.I Don't want Cubic zirconia, Because as nice as they look, My husband tells me they really are not worth it in the long run. we have never had real rings, just the Fake Toy type, Or walmart brand that did not last. i Don't want my finger turning green again ( that happened with the CZ) I am not looking for a high priced ring, just a real one, Possibly no more then say $800 dollars & lower. Im picky about what style I want & it being real, but not picky about the price. it could be $200 & i would be fine, so long as it was real. every fake ring i have owned was either worn with time & broke, or Turned me green. Can anyone give me suggestions? we have never been able to afford rings. ( my hubby has gotten me, Costume jewelery which i loved but...again.. for our 7th wedding anniversary, i would like to finally Invest in Something. If u have a lil ceremony now and then a big formal ceremony a yr later - does he give u the big diamond first and wait to give u the wedding band at the 2nd ceremony ? We are new at this.

It's up to you but I think you should exchange wedding bands at your first wedding, as this is when you are legally married. Don't think of your second, larger wedding as the be-all-and-end-all, it is the marriage that counts.I wouldn't want to be married for a year but be thinking the whole time 'well it doesn't reeeally count because we don't have wedding rings and I haven't had my big wedding'.Maybe you could even get an eternity ring at your second ceremony? Then you can have both!

the only way to verify quality is to have it appraised. So buy the jewelery in advance, have it appraised within the return window, that way, if it's not real, you can return it. I've bought stuff (not jewelery) from Overstock and so far so good. Good luck!

Buy a bridal/wedding set! It saves you money and time! A bridal or wedding set is the engagement ring and wedding ring for the woman sold as 1 together. You can pull them apart and they are made to clip together. And they match!Buy the bridal set and give the engagement ring to the woman and then tell her you already have the matching wedding ring for it.An engagement ring is a ring given to propose (1 ring by itself. This is the BLING ring. The one with a big diamond 1-2 cts). A wedding ring is plainer looking. Might have diamonds but wont have any big diamonds like the engagement ring does.A wedding band is the same as wedding ring except a band usually means it doesnt have diamonds. And a wedding band is what they call a man's wedding ring.If you get engaged trust me buy the bridal set. ONLY get a bridal set!My engagement ring was about (without the center diamond in it) 2,000 dollars and then another 2,000 to find a matching wedding ring to go with it. If my stupid (now ex) had bought a bridal set it was only 1,100 for both the wedding ring and the engagement ring (without the center diamond)! He would have saved almost 3,000 dollars if he had bought the set that looked almost exactly like mine.

Go to mervyns... My fiance just bought my ring there 2 days ago. It was a $2200 bridal set(band and engagement) and the sale price was around $700. They have 70% off all fine jewelry for the holiday sales. Awesome price. And since I work there I get a discount and i saved up other discounts also. so I had 2 15% off discounts and a 10% off discount and my employee discount was 32% for a week bringing the ring to around $300. It was amazing!!!! I couldnt be happier. 3/4 cttw diamond. I could have gotten 1 cttw but i like the other better! hope this helps

my boyfriend n i were looking at rings n came accross some gorgeous bridal sets. we were wondering how these work.... wen he proposes would he just give the engagement ring then on the wedding day (wud i still wear the engagement ring and take it off during the service to ensure the right order of rings) and then keep the final piece for the birth of our first child.....is that right or do ya just get given the whole lot together at some point?

2 of the rings are wedding bands (one for you; one for hubby) and the other ring is an engagement ring. I think that trios are more for when you get engaged without a ring and then buy one...I'm not totally sure, though.

As far as industry pricing goes, Zales is actually VERY reasonable. They're also able to offer lifetime jewelry guarantees and that's incredibly valuable. The trade-up option on diamond rings is another nice thing about Zales, and they offer a private line of credit. They will have a permanent clearance section on, and they ALWAYS have storewide sales going on. There is a semi-annual bridal event and it's usually around Valentine's day and late summer. In the next few weeks you'll see the Christmas sale pricing starting to take place. Check back now and then for tax free events, an extra 10% off storewide sales, etc. I work for Peoples, which is a Canadian division of Zales, and our sale went on this past Thursday. If you find something you love and buy it, and it goes on sale after you buy it, you have a 100 day return or exchange policy.
