I am planning a great 10 wedding anniversary trip without the kids for 5-7 days. (We never got a first honeymoon because of time,money and his family visiting). We lost our wedding rings when we moved from one house to another just over 3 years ago ( jewelry was put into my jewelry box because we were moving boxes and furniture,and the rings came up missing). We would like to design something new for me.. and buy him a plain platinum band that he can wear for occassions when he's not working on aircraft. Hey I have this version of the book and it says it was edited on the back. Does that just mean they fixed the mistakes? Or did they take stuff out that was in the original version of the Lord of the rings books.

No, it is just a way of saying that it was read, compiled and checked by an editor. You'll have the whole book but they probably added something to make it special and to state that it is a special 50th anniversary edition.

Try Pawn Shops. Cheap prices, stuff you won't find anywhere else. My husband found the perfect ring for me for our anniversary, as a replacement for my ring that got stolen. I love the new ring way better that the original one.

does the paperback have more in it?i will be trying to buy it tomorrow and want t know the differencedoes the hardcover have the maps in it also?

First of all, both editions contain the maps (although, being a larger book, the hardback edition's maps are bigger); but, only the hardback edition contains glossy images of the Book of Mazarbul. Other than that, from what I can tell, the content is identical.Secondly, The Lord of the Rings 50th Anniversary Edition was edited by Hammond and Scull for the purposes of correcting all the errors of the text to create a standard and perfect edition. Unfortunately, being mere humans, they didn't find all the errors (or introduced new ones), which they only found once the book had been published. There are very few of these errors, which have been ironed out in later printings (see the link below).Third, enjoy!

Your engagment ring should be what you want. If you feel that a 3 stone ring represents you and your relationship then by all means get it. It doesn't matter what others think its about you and your fiance. Get what you want because if not you may regret it.
