Question : what are rings that surround diamond solitaire rings called?
i have a solitaire ring that my husband gave me and i was wondering, if i am trying to find a ring that sits under it with like a diamond on either side of my current solitaire, what are those accent rings called?
Answer:
Most jewelry stores refer to them as "enhancers" but you will also hear people call them "wraps." I belive the first is the correct term.

Question : My wedding is in 3 weeks. I have a solitaire diamond ring, maybe somebody can help me?
I need to raise money for my wedding and this is the only way I can think of without borrowing or loaning money. I actually have two rings, one is a gold solitaire engagement ring and the other one is a 3-stone diamong ring. The solitaire ring looks new as I haven't used it too long. I bought it a year ago just for investment. My wedding is in three weeks and hopefully somebody can help me out. Either buy the ring or an advice as to what I can do. I tried pawning it but it was so low. Thank you in advance.Well I bought for myself because I dont need any guy to buy me one. My fiancee gave me one, so I wanna sell my ring. I actually bought it just because I liked it.*I bought it for myself.
Answer:
Try ebay and be sure to set a reserve price at the lowest you are willing to sell it for or else you'll have to sell it for what ever the winning bid price is regardless of how low it is.

Question : Did anybody try to sell a diamond or a solitaire ring to a jeweler be4 ?
how much was the solitaire ring and what was the offer of the jeweler ???and was that jeweler the same guy from which u've bought ur ring or different one ?ZOSER & LOVELY DIAMOND@@@@THANKS FOR UR EFFORT FOR THOSE WHO JUST BUYCAN U DETERMINE THE COLOUR , CLARITY AND THE PRICE PLEASE ?
Answer:
well,,, the Diamond prices depends on 3 aspects:the cut,,the purity(clarity) and the color,,,, it is impossible to determine the price without knowing those three aspects + of course the weight of the single stone in crates,,,,then the Diamond with an INTERNATIONAL certificate has better resell price than the one without (most likely the one without is blood diamond -long story)... most the stones with certificate can be sold back to the company which issues the certificates,, Not less than the buying price (Gazan as an example : international diamond trader/certificate issuer..)------------------Dear, I have been living in Guinea?south Africa, then Belgium and Holland,,the first ones are the biggest producers of diamond,, the seconds are big in trading them,, Not showing up! but I do can with some limits know about diamonds,, There is one more aspect decide the price of course,,,which is the Crown depth to the pavilion depth,,(as the crown is the part shown outside the ring,,if it is bigger of course that mean that the stone is (more expensive)(beside the crown angle as well),,, anyway with suitable (loupe ) I can see the color, the cut easy,, as for clarity,,it is very difficult to know the difference between the perfect stone (F or the IF ) and the Vvs1 (no flawless. or very very small imperfiction)...The best always to look for the certificateHere is a web page to you and others to see how diamonds are evaluated,,,Now last year In Belgium( and that is almost in all the world) one carat stone,,, colorless, VVs1 brilliant round cut,,, was in between 4000/3500 euroBy attention, the fact that the one carat is X (le) does not means that 1/2 is 1/2X,,, it does not work that wayas the bigger the diamond is the rare it is,,, so if the 1/2 carat =x le,, that may mean the one carat is 3/or 4 X,,,but again it depends on lots of aspects as I mentioned aboveHere is a very useful chart,,, this one is in all diamond traders framed on their tables,, for client to read,,(at least abroad)http://www.jewelbasket.com/aboutdiamonds.html

Question : Has anyone ever sold a diamond solitaire ring to a jeweler?
I want to sell my platinum 1 carat diamond solitaire back to a jeweler... does anyone have any idea how much $ I can expect to get back?
Answer:
I did that after my divorce..with my rings...and not very productive, and i had the papers for the diamonds. The best advice I got was to sell the diamonds loose.. or place an ad and sell them yourself. I ended up placing an ad and selling them myself. Hope that helps. : ) Call around first...save gas!

Question : plz suggest me some good sites of engagement and wedding rings esp solitaire rings?
plz suggest me some good sites of engagement and wedding rings esp solitaire rings?
Answer:
I agree with the people who said buy the diamond by itself and then the setting. You'll save money that way.A good site for finding the best price on a specific kind of diamond is http://www.diamondpriceguru.com/. You pick a shape, carat weight, clarity grade, color grade, etc. It shows you what is available at Amazon.com, James Allen, Mondera, Blue Nile, Abazias, Diamond.com, etc. So, you can see the prices side-by-side for a specific kind of diamond. From there, you can pick a retailer and browse its settings. You don't have to buy the diamond and setting at the same place, but you can.

Question : Will the channel diamond band match with a solitaire?
My fiancee got me a round diamond band because he didn't know the etiquette of the rings. Now I don't know what type of ring to get with it. Can I still get a 2 carat Solitaire ring with a round channel diamond band to go with a diamond channel band. A jeweler told me that a solitaire must be a bigger size carat from the band in order for it to stand out. HELP!
Answer:
Go in and try it on. That will make all the difference. You just need to get in there with the rings and play around with it. I was wanting a huge solitaire before my hubby and I first went ring shopping. I had it all planned out a min 1.5 ct princess cut in a cathedral white gold/platinum setting. Totally looked horrible on my hand. In fact, anything big just looked way out of whack. So I ended up with a .75 ct with channel set diamonds all around it and a matching channel set diamond band. It wasn't what I dreamed of... but on my hand it looked more amazing than anything. So lesson... you really have to play around to see what looks best on you!

Question : How much would it cost to put engagement ring stones into 2 separate rings?
My fiancee proposed to me about 3 months ago. He knew the general style I wanted and did a pretty good job. It is a princess cut diamond (about .33 carats) with 4 square side stones on each side, 1 carat total weight. I liked it for a while, but I have always wanted a solitaire ring. How much would it cost to put the center stone into another ring, and then turn the side stones into the wedding band?
Answer:
you'll have to take it to a jeweler to find out. you;ll have to get a mounting, which is basically just the band, for both. If they are just plain it should cost probably a few hundred per ring. But I don't know what it would cost to actually set it.

Question : Robbins Brothers Asks: Halo Diamond Engagement Ring or Traditional Solitaire?
If you're engagement ring shopping (or dreaming) you've encountered several different styles of rings. If you had to choose between the Halo Diamond Engagement Ring (a round, oval or cushion-cut diamond encircled by a "halo" of micro pave diamonds) or a traditional solitaire diamond ring, which would you select?
Answer:
I wanted a simple, classic solitaire, not round. Hubby picked out an oval. I've always been happy with it--33 years now. I can add stack type rings on either side and I've had 2 different types of wrap rings that wrap around my diamond to give it a different look. Most of the time I wear it just as it is, and between 2 plain bands--one is my wedding ring and one was my first anniversary gift. I''ve found it to be very versatile, and I don't have to worry about losing any pave diamonds.
