This is a nice ring for the price. The diamonds aren't that great but the overall look of the ring is nice.

I originally bought this ring for my sister but it was the wrong size; so I decided to give it to my self. This ring looks so nice on my finger. I got many compliments on this ring, it was definitely worth the money.

Stone fell out the first week I had it
I love the look of the ring and how it sparkled, but it is cheaply made and the stone fell out within first week.So disappointed. I have other silver from this company and love them, but this one was not worth it!

poor quality
It wasn't what I expected.....it looks very cheap but for $15.00, I guess I can't complain.....The picture is nothing like it really looks (the picture looks better).

Blue sapphires, black rhodium, and a gleaming 10 karat white gold band all add up to one fabulous stackable ring. This slim, squared edge band features 18 round blue sapphires that span the entire top of the finger, held in rhodium-plated prong settings. A classic symbol of loyalty and devotion, the blue sapphire is a very popular choice in friendship gifts or engagement jewelry. It's also the birthstone for those born in September. Wear this lovely ring solo, or stack it with other gemstone bands for a fabulous rainbow effect.

Very happy with this purchase :)
I bought this ring for my mom for mother's day. She loved it. It's the type of ring she could wear everyday, even to work. I like how it's small and low profile. It shines really pretty in all different types of light. I think these rings look awesome to stack in different colors :)

I bought this as a wedding band for my wife's engagement ring. It has been a year and she still loves it and me.

Sapphire Ring
I got this ring for my wife for her birthday and she absolutely loves it and has not taken it off since. Great price and quick delivery.

Beautiful AND a great deal!
I love this ring. It is tiny, the photo makes it look large- but the description does say it is 1.5 mm - look at a ruler- it's small... but so so great. Perfect even. The stones are a dark blue as other reviewers said...however that worked for me. My engagement ring has black diamonds and it doesn't look too "black and blue" they look great together! I can't wait to be married so I can wear this ring every day! :)
Rating :
very cheap rings
I wore this ring for a week and already had a stone fall out of it. They are very thin rings and cheaply made. Would not reccomend to anyone!

Black diamonds, black rhodium, and a gleaming 10 karat white gold band all add up to one fabulous stackable ring. This slim, squared edge band features 18 round black diamonds (.23 cttw) that span the entire top of the finger, held in rhodium-plated prong settings. The richest of black gemstones, black diamonds are distinctive, dramatic, and absolutely in vogue. Wear this lovely ring solo, or stack it with other gemstone bands for beautiful contrast.

Black Diamond Ring
You can actually wear it with any outfit, because black goes with anything. Black Diamonds are the new White Diamonds.

it's my "widow" ring
I recently lost my husband, and I bought this ring so that my finger wouldn't feel so bare, I wear it with my engagement ring.I feel it makes a positive statement, and I love it's symbolism. It is a very nice ring.

love it
I love this ring. It turned out to be exactly what I thought it would be.
Rating :
Good for the price
I received this ring as a gift (though I helped pay for it...funny how that works!) and I absolutely love it!
It sparkles a lot, and was worth the price. Bear in mind, however, that it is very thin, and would probably make a better stacking ring than a solitary piece of jewelry.

Questions & Answers
Question : Will jeweler replace my diamond if the whole prong setting fell out?
Husband bought engagment setting to place one of our diamonds in it, the whole ring is insured except for the diamond. The diamond didnt just fall out of the setting the whole setting was gone prongs and all, so would that be on the jewelry store? The ring is only 1 year old?
Answer:
Depends where you bought it. Check and see if you received a diamond bond with your ring, and check if you bought a jewelry protection plan from the business. If yes, and if you're still under warranty, they should cover both the diamond and the mount. A break like that should not happen in a well crafted mount, there was likely a problem when the gold was poured and it resulted in the ring being weak. That's not something that could have been prevented, as it's impossible to tell how a pour will turn out until something goes wrong. Bad luck is all. If you are rough with your rings (wear them to work, etc) they might not replace it. An unusual amount of force would be necessary to break the entire mount off a ring, so this break could be deemed a wear-and-tear issue and not a product issue. You'd really have to check with the store itself, as policies vary. The company I work for will issue a diamond bond on engagement rings and it will cover the replacement of the stone if anything like this happens. For an additional fee you can purchase a protection plan that will cover all repairs. Both these policies are lifetime, and in this instance we WOULD replace your ring. However, few businesses offer plans as good as ours, so you might be out of luck. You'll have to ask your jewelery store.

Question : Rings that match?
I know that most women wear a bridal ring set where one will fit into the other. Is it okay to wear rings that do not match or will it look odd?(My boyfriend and I do not like the look of the prong setting and I may end up buying 2 different rings to make up the set. We would have matching wedding bands, its just that my engagement ring would be different.)
Answer:
It's definitely o.k. if your rings don't match. My engagement ring was my great grandmother's and I just wear a plain gold band beside it. My husband wanted a little "bling" too, so his band does not match mine. He wears a gold band with 3 small diamonds set in it. You can do whatever you want.

Question : For an enagagement ring, what is a nice prong setting?
My boyfriend is making me decide what prong setting to use for my engagement ring. I don't like big diamonds so he got me a .45 ct round diamond but what prong setting should i choose among the xprong, cathedral or tiffany style setting? 4 or 6 prongs? I just want my small diamond to look radiant with brilliance? Thanks in advance.
Answer:
mine is in a simple four prong style, and it captures light very well because there isnt much to get in the way of it. i will try to find a picture of it to show you what i mean. hold on one sec while i look. ok, this isnt the clearest picture, and its not my exact ring (i think mine was special orderd) but the style of the prongs is very similar. because the light can hit the diamond from every angle, it sparkles much more.http://www.koehnandkoehn.com/product_info.php?products_id=382&cPath=144_22_34 i also happen to think you get more shine out of white gold and diamonds than just regular yellow gold. it always catches my eye more than yellow gold because yellow gold does have a tendency of blending into your skin sometimes. round is a good shape for diamonds. its very classic and elegant, and a lot can be done with it. if you can find a band that is more than just a simple solitare (a band with just the one diamond) youll get much more sparkle. they do make some nice three stone rings that can fit any budget if you know what your looking for. wherever you go though make sure you can trust the jewlers work. how is there warenty? will they clean your ring for free? what if a stone falls out, will they replace it for no charge or will they make you pay? theres a lot more to diamonds then i ever knew before i got engaged. just take it slow, do your homework, and youll be fine.

Question : Has anyone ever heard of putting a white gold prong diamond setting on a platinum ring?
I am upgrading my platinum engagement ring. I am going to use my current diamond and have it put into a new setting. The new ring is also platinum. The jeweler suggested that the diamond be set in a white gold prong setting vs. a platinum prong setting because the diamond will be elevated a bit off of the rest of the ring. She felt the white gold would be more durable (to bangs and bumps that occurs in day to day wear.) Everything I have read on the net suggests the opposite...that platinum is more durable for a prong setting. Which prong setting is better, platinum or white gold?
Answer:
I am actually doing the same thing and I have talked to many jewelers. I have a platinum ring and I want to put a new prong on it. I am going to go with platinum. Platinum is more durable and it's a solid color. What can happen with the white gold is that it will lose it's white color and you'll have to get it "rhodiumized" again. Prongs made of white gold are more susceptible to breakage where as platinum prongs will just bend. I personally would want everything in platinum. Hope this helps.

Question : Is this ring diamond or glass? Pictures included?
I have an old ring I recieved when my grandmother passed away in 2002. My initial reaction was that it was diamond, but I am really not sure. I am taking it to a jeweler tomorrow to have it looked at. It is an old ring, 1940's or older (I am thinking it may have been my great grandmothers, since the size is around size 8, where as my grandmother's wedding ring is a size 5 1/2). Is it possible for a diamond to have been put under glass in the ring setting? It has an open back setting and is very pretty and sparkley, but not like an obvious fake sparkley, like you see in very cheap rings today. It is set in either 18 or 10 K white gold (there is too much tarnish on the marking that I can't tell if it says 10 or 18), and has two small "diamonds" on both sides of the larger "diamond" in the middle. It has a 6-prong setting and seems to be a quality ring, but I would like to know if the diamond appears to be real or not. If it isn't real, I am thinking about getting a smaller diamond than the stone that is in the ring and having the prongs altered to fit the new diamond, so I can use it for my wedding in November. Can anyone tell if this is diamond or glass? I'm sorry, the pictures are kind of crappy, I took like 50, but these were the best, lol. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.editAlbumPhotos&albumID=1464533
Answer:
I can't see the pictures, unfortunately, but I can tell you a few things about diamonds. First of all, I doubt a fake stone would be using a 6 prong setting. 6 prongs are used to securely hold a stone into a ring, and for a less valuable stone 4 prongs would be more than adequate. The ring is also old, and the lack of sparkle is probably just due to the fact it hasn't had a professional cleaning in 60 years. Also, think of the times. Unless you've got a 5 ct. rock that looks suspiciously fake, it probably isn't. 40's were classy and it's unlikely that a fake stone would have been placed in a real setting with 6 prongs. That would have been in bad taste. Unlike today, if you couldn't afford diamonds, you simply didn't buy lots of diamonds. You didn't go parade a 3 ct. ''Tiffany Ring'' you bought for $40 at a Hong Kong street market. Try uploading the photos to a site where I can view them, and I'll take another look.

Question : What kind of engagement ring setting will fit my wedding band?
My fiance bought me a plain round solitaire set in a Tiffany style setting. He recently surprised me by picking out a wedding band for me. It has five .20 point round diamonds in a shared prong setting. While I love both, the six prong setting of the engagement ring makes it impossible for the two rings to fit flush. I spend most of the day at jewelry stores and my head is spinning from all of the options. (switch to 4 prong, cathedral, shave one of the six prongs) I'm hoping that someone with a similar issue can give me an idea. I thank you in advance for your response.
Answer:
I have a 6 prong tiffany style ring and my wedding band sits flush against the ring. This is my set http://www.tiffany.com/Engagement/Item.aspx?GroupSKU=GRP10016#f+2/0/0/0/0/0 (I have the channel set wedding band too) A jeweler made my rings (i didn't get them from Tiffanys) The base of the six prongs shouldn't stick out very far. It should be indented slightly at the base and then the band sits close to the engagement band. If you are having trouble maybe you should change the wedding band instead of the engagement ring. They have ones that are curved and can fit around a stone.Oh and it is not bad luck to remove your wedding band. It's gross and unsanitary not to actually. My parents have been together for over 40 years now and neither wears their rings anymore. I take mine off every night and if I am working with my hands. I also clean it frequently.

Question : What is the difference between a pave setting and a shared prong setting?
I'm looking into wedding bands and I cannot tell the difference between some of the pave settings and a shared prong setting. I always thought my e-ring had a shared prong setting, but now looking at pictures, I think mine might be a micro pave setting! Any advice on how to tell the difference?P.S. Any good websites for wedding bands? P.P.S. I read somewhere that you should not have 2 pave rings touching one another. Is this true?
Answer:
This is a PAVE set ring: http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/pave/18k-White-Gold-2-2mm-Pave-Set-Diamond-Ring.htmlPave is when the diamond is closer to the ring itself and set within the ring almost. (Notice that the diamond doesn't stick up far above the ring itself?) This is a good setting for medical professionals who have to constantly wear rubber gloves. A traditional prong setting: http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/solitaire/solitaire-ring.htmlThese stick up farther and actually allow more light to travel through the ring, so your diamond will react more and look more "sparkly". With either setting, the more prongs you have to hold the diamond, the better. It makes it sturdier and less likely to loose that precious stone. (I have a six-prong traditional solitaire for my engagement ring and the diamonds for the wedding ring are held in by six prongs as well.)

Question : Is it necessary to go to a jeweler or can one simply switch stones themselves?
I have a 2ct synthetic diamond ring. I also have one that is 1.5ct. I want to switch the stones. Both rings have a simple 4-prong setting. Can I just bend back the prongs, put in the diamond, and bend it back?
Answer:
It is not that simple, the stones are not held by sideways force, so an attempt to do that could either break the stone of lose it.Since one stone is smaller that makes it even more a problem. If a reputable jeweler changes them and it breaks or falls out then they are responsible. There may not be a lot of money in the rings, but the repair should not be that expensive ether.

Question : Would a Princess cut diamond fit in a 6-prong setting such as this?
I'm looking into buying an engagement ring. But the main stone has to be princess cut. Would this 6-prong ring fit a princess cut diamond? http://www.abazias.com/database/engagement-rings/Antique-Style-Bezel-Set-Princess-Engagement-Ring_EN G-SS-128-142.asp
Answer:
The head would have to be modified to a 4 prong. This is something you may want to check out at http://www.whiteflash.com. They are one of the largest e-tailers of best performing princess cuts in the country. Here is their gallery which may want to browse. http://www.whiteflash.com/gallery/Good Luck!

Question : What are some good brands/designers of engagement rings that are not overly priced?
I am looking for a micro pave band or thin channel set band with nice detail or perhaps diamonds in the prong/setting that holds the main diamond. Nothing to ornate or over the top... any suggestions?
Answer:
If you're looking for a designer style without the extravagant price, I would suggest Tacori. Although they are still expensive, they still cost less than Harry Winston or Tiffany's!
