Question : Hello i need some help choosing which ring to get?
Hi can you guys pick which ring you like more thanks:)1st ring: http://www.buy.com/prod/8-mm-high-polish-matte-finish-black-titanium-ring-wedding-band-with/q/loc/64 934/209193052.html2nd ring: http://www.buy.com/prod/8-mm-high-polish-matte-finish-black-titanium-ring-wedding-band/q/loc/64934/2 09193046.html
Answer:
I wouldn't buy either of them. They are only sized in full sizes--7,8,9, etc. Unless you are exactly one of the whole sizes, your ring will not fit properly. Look for a titanium ring seller than has your proper sizes. It also only comes in one width: 8mm. While this may be your ideal size, a 10mm or 7mm might be your best choice depending on the finger you will wear it on.I'd spend a little more and get a custom-made titanium ring, like the ones you see at http://www.titaniumringshop.com.

Question : I am purchasing a silver ring and would like to to know more detail about the material?
what does polished, oxidised, or satin finish mean on silver material?
Answer:
Real silver has a very tiny number carved on it written 925 which states real silver. The stuff you mentioned only differ in the shape and color of the silver. Polished is a bit dark but smooth, Oxidized has some black stuff on the ornament which makes ot loka bit antiqueish and satin finish are the very shiny and bright ones which are often mistaken with white Gold or are used for designs

Question : I have an old engagement ring I would like to trade-in for a new one, any advice?
I can't go back to the old jeweler for the trade-in, will another jeweler give me a good amount if I buy a new ring as well. Any recommendations of how to get the most money? How much do you think I can get for the trade in, the appraisal is as follows: One ladies 14karat yellow gold and solitaire engagement ring, modern cast, die struck and assembled construction, high polish finish. This ring consists of a 2.5 mm wide, flat shank that tapers to 3.2 mm at the top where there is l round brilliant cut diamond, set in a 14karat white gold, 4 prong, tiffany style head, measuring 7.31 x 7.36x 4.40mm (depth was visually estimated due to mounting), weighing 1.44 carats by formula, Color J-K, Clarity I1. This ring is in good condition and weighs 2.56 dwt. value $6,200.
Answer:
If you like the size of the stone have it re-set, it really doesn't cost much at all, a good jeweler (not a chain) will even give you credit for the metal. We had my grandmothers diamond used in my ring and with the custom design and additional stones it was very reasonable.Ask around, otherwise the professional appraisal and Ebay auction might be your best bet.

Question : how can i get 'ring' stains left by cups/glasses off of a polished granite surface?
the polished surface of the granite has ring marks how can i remove them without affecting the shiny finish of the granite?
Answer:
Wine will etch the surface of granite and you have to polish it out with a mild abrasive. I got a Best Answer for this once when the lady used T-Cut (motor body restorer) to polish out her rings. It really works.Edit: Citric acid (lemon juice etc) will etch the surface. DO NOT USE!

Question : I just made a silver ring. What is the best finish to put on it? How?
I just made a silver ring for my girlfriend. Should I polish and shine it to a mirror-like finish? Or should I leave it in a smooth, semi-matte finish? Also, what is the best way to polish it up should I decide to make it mirror-like? I've used steel wool to make it smooth, but I was wondering if there was anything more fine I could use. Any help would be great. Thanks!
Answer:
have a look on a jeweller supply site, they list all sort of polishing rouge. You will have to have a polishing wheel and go through different sorts of rouge, rough to fine.If you girlfriend is into bling, glitzer, sparkly shiny things, I would go for the mirror-like finish. If she is more of a classy, no fuss, industrial design gal, I would go for the matte finish. You could also go for a hammered finish, something like this http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24020697&ref=sr_list_19&&ga_search_query=silver+ring +hammered&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title, it's sort of inbetween and you don't need all the polishing gear.Honestly, I think it's great that you make something yourself for your girlfriend instead of just going out an buying something. I am sure she will love the ring no matter what the finish.
