I was happily surprised with the quality of this ring. If you don't care about the stone being precious it looks very nice. Looks very nice on long fingers due to the marquis cut.

You get what you pay for...

The stone is very pretty, but its smaller then i thought it would be. The metal looks and is cheap, the silver 'paint' on it is already chipping off. Over all I was not impressed with this ring, it looks cheap but I guess you get what you pay for right? I would not recomend it to anyone looking for something that looks expensive.

Was bought for me by a friend, and after learning how to clean tarnished silver,
don't get it wet cos the edges will tarnish, I can safely give this ring a thumbs up now.

Cleaning it is real easy...

Form a small bowl of aluminum foil, fill with warm water, salt and baking soda.
Mix this around, I used a chopstick to mix the ring around with the mixture,
and it came clean almost instantly.

Question : 2ct, prong set solitare engagement ring changed to bezel set?
I have a 2+ carat princess cut solitare engagement ring. It is currently set with a four prong setting and it is very pretty but it makes me very nervous. The band also has small channel set diamonds. Would this look bad in a bezel set? I don't want it to loose any sparkle and I hear a bezel set will make it look dull. Thoughts?It makes me nervous because it sits up very high and sometimes gets caught on or hit against things. I do have it checked by my jeweler twice a year but I'm still nervous.

Answer:
It should be safe. A bezel cut will make it safer, but it will look rather dull. If you're really worried, get it in a setting with shorter prongs, but it will be fine as it is.

Question : The stone fell out of my ring :o( I bought it online, can I go to any jeweller and pay to get the stone reset?
I JUST bought it, and I love it. I ordered it off Etsy, so I can't go to the person who originally made the ring to reset the stone. I think the stone setting of my ring is called bezel (the stone is held in by being glued to the bottom of a bowl-like base, with the sides like a band wrapped around the bttom of the stone.)I want to know if I can go to any jeweller (like Sears, or some silver-smith in town,) to get my stone set properly so that it will not fall out again.

Answer:
Yes, they can reset the stone in the bezel setting quite easily. It's about a 15 min job if the ring is in good condition and they don't need to do major repair work. If the setting was poorly made initially they may have to do quite a lot of repair work on it so it may be more expensive. I'd bet that if you went to a small jeweler and it's a simple matter of putting the stone back in and putting the bezel back in place, they might not even charge you for the repair. There's typically no glue involved in setting a stone with a bezel setting. it's just the metal that holds it in place. They may have to put it in the tumbler for a little while to work harden it so the bezel doesn't get loose again. If there is a watch repair shop or a college with a jewelry making course around your neighborhood, they can probably take care of it as well.

Question : Does a bezel setting make a diamond look smaller. Its in an engagement ring.?

In my opinion, no, but it depends on the size of the diamond.Mine is a bezel & I love it bc I won't have to worry about ever losing the diamond. Plus, it allows the stone to sit more flushed with the rest of the setting vs. it being raised above the rest of the band. I got a larger diamond and set it lower.....plus this way it won't snag on things!!!

Question : Why do wedding and engagement rings have to be "traditional"?
I've never understood why wedding and engagement have to be "traditional". One of my dearest friends in the world has a black titanium ring, with a black diamond in the center (in a tension setting), and has two, bezel set, white diamonds (one on each side fo the black diamond). I think the ring is GORGEOUS! But people have told her that her ring is "ugly, trashy, useless, not feminine enough, to manly." I can't fathom a prettier non-traditional ring myself. I really enjoy finding really interesting rings. I've found sites that cater to my love of 'non-traditional' rings. As a matter of fact I am having a new wedding/engagement ring made for me when my husband deploys next year to Bahrain. Mine will be made out of platinum and diamonds. Question : Bezel setting for engagement ring: questions?
1) Is a bezel setting harder to clean and keep clean, since the metal wraps all the way around the diamond?2) Does the bezel setting make the diamond look bigger or smaller? (I've heard both!)

Answer:
I have a couple of rings and a pendant that are bezel set. I do have to take extra care when cleaning my Mozambique Garnet that is bezel set, because I think it does show grime more around the setting. That being said, with the two diamond pieces, I do not notice any grime.I just use a soft toothbrush and some gentle handsoap and give them a quick scrub before I wear them to make sure they sparkle.I happen to think my bezel sets look a bit larger, but it is all a matter of opinion. Go to the mall and look at some in the jewelry stores =)

take it back and tell them you are not happy with it. if they dont want to fix it go to a manager if still no luck call the company and explain it to them.. tell them that this ring was for someone special and your trusted their company to make a very nice ring and it is not how you wanted it.. explain everything to them and even about the woman who "fixed" the diamonds.

Question : Engagement ring ideas for a nurse?
I am looking for some engagement ring ideas. So many rings are so tall and I am afraid will rip the gloves. I've been thinking about a bezel setting, but I don't really like round cut. I like the princess cut diamonds. Any help would be appreciated.

I was a medical assistant and couldn't wear my engagement ring for that same reason, the stone sat too high and ripped my gloves. Instead I just wore my promise ring for work which was a channel set anniversary band. With a channel set all the stones are flush with the band so nothing sits too high.
