Question : How can I get rust off of a choker necklace?
I have this choker I like that I really want to wear. However, it's a little old and has gathered some rust. I certainly don't want rust rubbing against my neck all night. I ve seen Pictures of the Leia Slave costume(not bikini) and the choker has a chain attached.I have a chain, but how do you attach the chain on the choker if the choker doesnt have a loop to attach it too.The choker Piece is rubber.Will it break if i pit a hole through it?

Question : Why is my boxer puppy still pulling with a choker collar?
My boxer puppy is in training class and was fitted for a choker collar. We used it tonight and our puppy pulled ahead even though the collar was choking her. I did the quick yank, but it did not deter her from pulling.I tried stopping when my boxer began to pull while walking. When she sat down, I began walking again. Almost immediately, she began to pull. I'm wondering if she can pull hard enough to hurt herself?

Yes, as someone said, you may want to get a prong collar instead.When used correctly, they will not harm your dog and are NOT inhumane, no matter how "freaky" they might look.Also, what you can try is whenever your puppy starts to pull, use a verbal warning like "No pull" or "ah-ah!", quick yank, and stop walking. Stand there for a few seconds, or until the puppy stops pulling ahead and relaxes, and start walking. Every time he starts to pull, just repeat. You can even try this indoors on a leash, or close to home/in the yard so you're not constantly stopping while trying to walk somewhere.Good luck!

Question : whats the correct way of using a choker collar?
adopting a staffy and obviously want to be a responsible owner and train him correctly. i would like to know the most effective and kindest way of correcting any bad behaviour with the choker without hurting him. i understand there is a correct way to use them, is it just a quick tug? sorry if i'm asking what seems to be a stupid question, i've just never used one before and dont want to do it wrong and hurt the dog. thank you all.

there is a wrong way,actually a few wrong ways, one is if the chain is on backwards,it will not loosen when you relax the leash,if this happens,simply take of the collar,and turn it around. The other issue is that a quick 'snap' is needed,not a drag or a long pull,just a quick enuf 'pop' to snap the dog out of his behavior. if he is pulling you while you are walking,use many quick snaps, instead of a long jerk or tug as this will encourage him to pull. also consider a martingale collar, look it up on te Internet,it is half choke and half nylon collar. p.s please don't leave choke on unattended as it may get caught in his crate or an object and he will hang himself.anymore questions,feel free to add me as contact. good luck:)
