I have seen Kevin Pietersen(before he got married), Dawid Malan and AB Devilliers all wear a wooden bead chain. KP's was red and white or sumtin,Malans was brown and AB's is white. I want to know if there is some signinficance. I have an antique rabbits foot, green in color. and judging from the wear and patina, it is very old supposedly from the turn of the century. I can find only one article on the internet describing a rabbits foot on a bridgeport bead chain company chain. It's a memoir, and metions it only in passing. I was wodering if anyone knew when approximately these were manufactured, or when the bridgeport bead chain company was in operation. Or any other useful information.

Do you have a photo of what you want to do? The Oriental Trading Company sells kits for that, complete with patterns. I know, that won't help if it's for tomorrow morning. Still, you could get a good look at them and figure them out. They use plastic pony beads. I'm guessing that's what you have.I think (if this is the kind you mean -- your question is very vague) that you take a long piece of wire and center two beads on it. Adding 2 beads at a time, weave the wire up the cross, making sure both wires pass through each bead -- except those first two you centered. When you have it 4 rows high, it's time for the arms. Add two beads per side, so your cross arms are 6 beads wide. Do two rows of that. Then, come back to two beads wide and do two more rows. Finish off and attach a keyring. A good jewelry cross is 4 'blocks' high and 3 blocks wide. Each block in thios case is made up of 4 beads, 2 beads high and 2 beads wide.

I make beaded eyeglass chains and sell them on Ebay. I can get beads for pretty cheap on ebay and try to only get stuff from the US but I accidentally purchased some beads coming from Hong Kong that said Swarovski in the listing. Is there any way to tell if they are really swarovski beads? Also do I have to worry about toxins coming from hong kong beads?

Question : can someone please explain the 4 bead chain on Storm's Wiggle Wart lures?
Ive never seen anything like this on a lure before.... theres a hook loop on the belly and the tail of the lure but there is no hook on the tail one. The belly hook has a 4 bead chain about 2" long between the hook and the belly of the lure.. why is that? can someone explain that to me? also, why is there a loop for a hook on the tail but no hook there?
Answer:
It's probably set up to use as a diver for salmon or steelhead. The leader is attached to the bead chain. As the plug dives down, the baited leader is pulled down to the fish. This is a very common method in the northwest for fishing out of an anchored boat. The belly hook is left on in case a fish strikes at the plug.

Crate & Barrel has some great Cmas tree decos now, that are little square mirrors (1/4" square) spaced about 2-3" a[art on clear fishing line... would look awesome on a chandelier! I think w/ Cmas apporaching, now would be the easiest time to find "crystal" garland.Also check antique malls and consignment shops. Many have baskets of loose beaded chain and crystals.
