Question : Style Advice needed for getting a piratey-aesthetic?
I want to start dressing vaguely like a pirate in the summer, because I think it'd be a nice look and weather appropriate, but not so much people look at me and think, "He's wearing a pirate costume." I want it to be more like, "Wow, does that guy know how much of a pirate he looks like?" I'm not going for historically accurate, I'll probably put a lot of modernish stuff in there too, I just want the aesthetic of a pirate. I'm thinking more of a punk inspired pirate, or pirate inspired punk. I'm going to be making the clothing for it.My ideas so far:Hair and Makeup:- Growing my hair out, it is already fairly shaggy- Wear black eyeliner and black eyeshadowClothing:- Wearing colorful ruffled front and lace up shirts- Wearing a long, open and black vest that goes down to my upper thighs- wearing black breeches with striped and solid over-the-knee socks underneathShoes:- First choice: Find a pair of buckled loafers that are either men's shoes or can pass for men's shoesSecond choice: borrow my mom's buckled dress shoes, which look rather cool and fit me, but are clearly women's shoes, but I live in a liberal area so it's not really a big deal.Accessories:- wearing lots of skull jewelry, and giant hoop earrings- perhaps wear colorful sashes around my waist.Any further ideas?
Answer:
Sounds like you got it all covered.Just be ready for the girls to come running dear, they're going to think you're johnny depp! ;-P

Question : I would love to learn everything bout men's fashion, style, clothing and fitness. HOW?
The truth is I have always been (and expected to be) the macho guy who dresses like an old fancy man, the old way. I study Business and Economics and you guys may realize how this way of life (numbers, money etc) doesn't match a fashion life. But I seriously have come to realize that I do like it, and a lot. It does not mean I'm gay, and I'm not, but I feel very interested in this kind of thing. I have always liked earrings on men (and jewelry in general), but I'm a little ashamed of wearing them because of the things people may say. So I finally realized that I don't have to give a **** about others and I'm gonna dress with style and not like an old conservative man (i'm only 21) as I have all my life. So how could I learn all the basics of men's style, fashion, clothing online? please don't tell me vogue, which I think it's good for a guy who already know quite much about the subject, thanks
Answer:
GQ is the men's magazine you should look into

Question : What religion is this (complicated)?
I was curious about the religion of a family I recently met. The woman wears a pentacle necklace all the time. I've seen the husband wearing Christian cross earrings. The son states that he is agnostic.I only noticed his earrings at the time, so in a conversation with them, I brought up either something about God or church. Both husband and wife seemed to agree with whatever it was that I said so I assumed that they were probably Christians.I noticed her necklace and had always thought that the pentacle was pagan so I researched its meaning. Is it possible that she wears it as a Christian symbol? Or could she just wear it as a protection symbol with no particular religious meaning? As for the man's earrings, they were very small and simple so I assume that they mean something to him rather than just being a piece of jewelry, as he doesn't seem to be the jewelry wearing type. And my understanding of agnosticism is that they are skeptical if God exist. To me that seems contradictory of what his mother and father believe, whether they are Christian or Pagan or...?
Answer:
Well they sound like a Unitarian Universalist family.Unitarian Universalist Churches are made of peoplefrom all religions for Christianity to pagans to atheistand they are accepting of gays they even have gay ministers. So obviously the beliefs of Unitarian Universalist will vary. But the one common stand point is that (if you even believe in a higher power) no one goes to hell and such a place does not exist. So he maybe a christian she maybe a pagan and the son is still not sure what he believes. They were agreeing because UUs accept that people have different views of the 'Higher power' who or what ever it may be. Or they did agree with what you said.Best thing is to just ask.

Question : Mens engagement jewelry?
My boyfriend and I are on the road towards engagement (we have all the rings - including both our wedding bands) and I thought I would surprise him with his own engagement jewelry. After all, any guy sees a ring on my finger and he knows I'm off-limits, but I want some way to do the same for him. I've considered a belt buckle (but he is going into EMT/Paramedic field, and an overly-extravagant one would get in the way), cuff links (but he has one suit, without French cuffs), earrings (he has 1" gauges but I couldn't find any fine gauges, or one with a ball and chain on it for the humor effect). He's not a watch-wearer, or a necklace type of guy. If he still had some of his other piercings, it would be a different story. We've looked at rings, too, but he doesn't want something traditional, and I didn't want to just get him something from Hot Topic or Spencer's; I wanted it to be something he would wear most of the time, that's as special as the ring he bought me.Am I overlooking some possible men's accessories? Or, perhaps, is there someone who would make custom gauges/belt buckles/etc., with precious metal and possibly stones?
Answer:
This doesn't make sense... you say you want to 'mark your territory' like you have been 'marked' with the engagement ring, but how are any of the accessories you mentioned 'marking' him as yours? The only piece of jewelry you can buy him that will mark him as engaged, is a ring... which BTW, is the last thing he would want to have to worry about snagging on his BSI (gloves) and leaving a hole for someone elses' bodily fluids (blood, vomit, urine, feces) to get on him and give him some disease... since he is going into the medical field.

Question : Question about "Ear piercing"?
Okay, I bought a pair of men's earrings and I want to get them pierced. My friend said that he got one of his pierced at a tattoo place and the other at a jewelry store. He said the one at the tattoo place really hurt because it was done by hand, but the one at the jewelry store only hurt a bit because they used a "piercing gun", so then I asked whether I could get my ear pierced at that same store but he said "I don't know because you didn't buy your earrings from there." So my question is...Can I get my earrings pierced at that jewelry store without having purchased my earrings from that store? The store was Clair's

Question : Where in the Koran does it say that you cannot have a mullet?
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/06/21/irans-fashion-crackdown-no-more-mullets-or-western-bling/Ira n's Fashion Crackdown: No More Mullets or Western BlingTEHRAN, Iran – It's an Iranian rite of summer: Islamic morality squads pressure women to keep their headscarves snug and coverings in place, and after a few extra tugs for modesty's sake the crackdown inevitably fades. This year, however, Iran's summer fashion offensive appears bigger and more ominous, and has expanded the watch list to men's hairstyles and jewelry considered too Western. No official explanation has appeared for the sterner approach this season. But it fits with the steady push by Iran's ruling theocracy to reel back the liberal fashion trends that began in the 1990s -- such as body-hugging coverings for women and earrings and tattoos for men -- and to sweep away non-Islamic influences in universities and cultural institutions.I wont give anyone a thumbs down for answering my questions.
Answer:
In Islam, Mullets represent a female quality which is long hair.Qur'an clearly prohibits men that resemble woman in any way, so it's practically a sin according to Islam rule.pfff... get out of Iran!! if you want my advice!

Question : Are men becoming gay?
Women wear skinny jeans, earrings, jewelry, long hair, lip rings....etcWhy the hell do some men wear the same things women wear??? It seems like men are becoming feminine now, my cousins have like 50 pairs of shoes each. Which man needs all those shoes, only females are suppose to do that. And whats up with the skinny jeans, no one wants to see a man's butt. The chains and earrings in both ears has to be the worst!!!I could just imagine you all getting dressed in the morning saying " I wonder which pair of shoes will match my belt?, would my skinny jeans go with my top?, hhmmm which chain will match my diamond earrings.....etc" HOW IS THAT NOT GAY? and you all call yourself gangstas? Its weird because all men would be angry if all women wore baggy jeans, baggy tops, boots....etc.I miss the old days when men dressed like men. Things have changed so much that I cant even wear a dress suit without getting stared at. I guess I gotta go buy some skinny jeans and earrings so I could fit it....smh....I wonder if men will start using purses in the near future???????????
Answer:
No, I am 100% pure hetero.Sometimes, I like to dress very stylish, but I hate it when people assume that classy guys are "gays" or are called "metrosexuals".BTW, I agree that having 50 pairs of shoes is wrong, not because it's "gay" or "feminine", but because it's over-materialism...Why people buy 50 pairs of shoes when there is so much poverty in this world?...I criticize women who act this way, they are too superficial...
