Exquisite CZ wedding ring set in a vintage style. Three faceted hand set cubic zirconia stones adorn the engagement ring of this solid sterling silver wedding ring set. The center stone is a 1 cart princess cut which is accented by two side set stones which are .50 carats each, and set off by inlaid side baquette stones. The wedding band is adorned in pave stones. Questions & Answers
Question : Ladies, what do you think about this? Is it bad luck, or practical???
I have a platinum setting with diamonds on it already. No center stone. It has been worn. I was wondering if it is bad luck to re-use the setting, or actually, how most women would feel if they knew the setting was pre-owned? Would it be better to melt it down and re-create it to look different? Realistically, dimonds are diamonds, and platinum is platinum, right? I was thinking about adding it to something for an engagement ring for my girlfriend...I guess what I am asking is: Would you be offended, or just like the fact that the ring was bigger/had more?

Answer:
If it was your ex wife's ring yes i would be offended if you bought it from another couple who got divorced or never got married i would not be offended......

Question : Best place in Chicago to buy a customized engagement ring?
I want the setting, diamond, etc to all be unique. I don't want a pre-packaged ring you find at like Tiffany.

Answer:
I designed my own wedding ring set six months back & got it customized from Treasures in Ford City mall. I showed them the designs I had in my mind & was really confused about what setting to choose. They showed me some of their own creations & were really helpful throughout the whole process. It did however take 2 weeks to get the ring made though. Also my engagement ring is from Treasures as well & I get a lot of compliments on that.

Question : When exchanging pre-engagement promise rings What is the official title the couples use?
Boyfriend and I have exchanged promise rings with the commitment to marriage at a later time. No date has been set. I want to know what is the official title do we use? Boyfriend /girlfriend or fiancee'?

Answer:
Your titles are 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend'. This doesn't change until you're engaged.

Question : I need a really great gift for my boyfriend! 1 year anniversary!!?
Okaay, so I have a lot of holidays coming up with my boyfriend in the next few months. November: Boyfriend's 18th BirthdayDecember: ChristmasJanuary: 1 year anniversary!!February: Valentine's DayFor his birthday, I am getting him a hoodie and I am airbrushing it. He has requested it, so I decided that I'd surprise him with it for his birthday in November, because he can wear it through the winter when it's cold. For Christmas, I am getting him a cologne set of his favorite cologne, because I met him 4 days before Christmas and absolutely fell in love with his scent from the very beginning, so I thought it would be very apropos. For our 1 Year Anniversary!! I have no idea what to get him!! He told me that his gift to me was going to make me cry my eyes out, and I'm honestly thinking it's a Promise Ring (a pre-engagement ring for the younger group, basically symbolizing that, though we won't get married for 5 years, he's gonna stick with me til we get engaged engaged. Its more of a long-term commitment statement). I wear a ring my Dad got me years ago on my wedding finger, and he teases me about it, so I always tease back that I'll switch it to the other hand when I have something better to put there. Soooo.. I really think that's what it is. But what do I get him to compete with that?! Like really?! That is sooo huge!!! So that's one gift idea I need....For Valentine's Day, I need another gift. Last year, he got me a diamond necklace, and had my parents bring me to a surprise dinner for the both of us alone; it was wonderful!! However, I realllyyy neeed something great for him!So, to sum it up: I need an absolutely amazing 1 Year anniversary present and Valentine's Day present. Any help would be amazing! He's seventeen and very into computers, not very outgoing, but he is a lot of fun and my best friend.

Question : My boyfriend says he wants to get married but refuses to propose...?
We've been living together for about 4 years. He used to tell me he "doesn't" believe in marriage. Now he claims he's ready and wants to marry me though still doesn't believe in marriage. He claims he wants to do it to make me happy and give me the things I want. Now the kicker. It's hard enough to consider marrying someone who doesn't believe in marriage but he also refuses to propose or make any sort of official engagement. He has a great deal more money than I do and it seems all he is concerned with in a pre-nup agreement that will keep me from getting anything should we divorce. This is all far from romantic and loving and I'm just not sure what to do. I mean even if I "demand" he proposes how much could it possibly mean to me at that point? I'm open to any advise on the matter. Sometimes I feel like I should turn tail and run and never look back. The problem is I am in love with him and do want to spend my life with him. But the way things have gone I have a feeling come the "big day" I'm just going to start crying and run off. It's like none of this is about love for him. He wanted to talk about a pre-nup before we ever got engaged, he has refused to propose, there's no official engagement, he's set up appointments to work on a pre-nup, I have no ring. We plan to do this rather quickly as it's been a long time coming but where's the love? It's this supposed to be about the girl and love? My heart feels crushed and I don't know how else to talk to him about it since he's been very clear that he will no propose and doesn't believe in marriage. Should I just say no?I just want to be sure that I've portrayed him fairly in this to be sure that everyone has all of the facts. He's been supporting my 5 year old daughter (who is not his) for all of these years. He paid for my college education to help me get a better position in life. He is usually very considerate he's just extremely socially awkward and VERY bad at expressing his feelings. He says marriage is just a social convention and means nothing because we are already committed for life. My arguement there is that it doesn't provide me and my daughter enough security. He could at any point just kick us out and we'd have no means to survive at the moment. So I pointed out that if he's so commited anyway, why not prove it and get married that way I dont have to stress over the instability of our relationship. We both know we heave different views on things and are trying to come to agreements with them all. Yet I simply can't understand why he can't manage to propose properly.

Answer:
He has everything he wants. He has a regular sex partner, a best friend to do cool things with, a wonderful companion, etc.He has no incentive to marry you.By marrying you, what would he be getting from you that he doesn't already have?Gals, I hope you're reading this. If marriage is what you want, don't shack up with a guy until you get married to him.Now look what's happened in this case. He has all the power.***

Question : Promise Bracelet For Boyfriend... Help?
My boyfriend and I have been talking about getting a promise ring (for me) and a promise bracelet (for him) during the last month or so. We think they would make good Christmas presents. We've both never done anything as serious as promise rings/bracelets, but we plan on setting our own thoughts towards them (i.e. "I'll always stay faithful", "pre-engagement", etc.).Our plan is that I buy him his bracelet and he buys me the ring. I told him I'd like it to be a surprise and he agreed with his present to be a surprise, as well. I asked him what type of bracelet he would like, and he said he wanted a leather bracelet.I honestly don't mind how much the bracelet ends up costing me (what we have is definitely worth it), but I do need help finding a website or two that sells high-quality leather bracelets that would fit what we are using it for. Any suggestions?

Question : What pre-engagement preparations are appropriate for me to do?
1) We set a date and he told his family-- April 10th.2) I found the receipt for my engagment ring.3) BUT HE HASN'T PROPOSED YET.The wedding is only 9 months away....What kind of planning can I start working on?We discuss our wedding nearly everyday. If he doesn't propose by September, can I tell him I found the receipt dated 07/01/2009?I'm not the most patient person.Plus I like to plan every event to a T.DANA- YOU'RE RUDE!We are going on a big trip next month and I think that's when he's going to do it.You need to be nicer to people!! Gaw

Answer:
AHHH! I'm going through the SAME thing!I went to target and bought a 3 ring binder to stash ideas in. I hinted that he can feel free to contribute to it. As of right now we have just narrowed down to venues, and I have gotten some ideas together for the reception (just by myself, he really isnt too opiniated.) DONT tell him you found the reciept. We girls get the wedding, let him have HIS moment by proposing and suprising. DONT take that from him. Just be happy and giddy that is it going to happen and plan for everything else. I used to go to borders and just browse (it's fun to get an idea of what you want, and it makes it easier in the long run) Although it is tempting to try to get things out of him, don't you'll be happier and suprised when he does it and you'll appreciate it more.BUT I do understand the anticipation. congrats to being a wedding planning nazi like myself, and congrats to the future engagment!!(Relax when you go away and pretend like you had no clue, it'll make him happier too!)

I have a platinum setting with diamonds on it already. No center stone. It has been worn. I was thinking about adding it to something for an engagement ring for my girlfriend... I guess what I am asking is: Would you be offended, or just like the fact that the ring was bigger/had more?

Answer:
I don't really put to much in the whole good luck/bad luck aspect...but as far as personal feelings on it... Who wore the ring previously???I would indeed be offended if this was from a previous relationship. If it is a family heirloom, I would be honored. If its from a pawn shop or bought used...I wouldn't want to know! LOLAs far as being "practical", using it as it and adding the center stone WOULD indeed be practical...and with today's economy there's nothing wrong w/practical.In the end it's all about the meaning behind the ring, not really the size, setting, stone, material. The size and cost of the ring doesnt determine how good the relationship is...and if all she's worried about is the kt weight, then I wouldn't worry about the "offense" angle....As long as the reasons for why you're giving it are true, then I don't really think much else matters.

Question : Promise Ring Basics?
Hey everyone,me and my girlfriend have been together for almost one year now.On our one year anniversary i plan on giving her a promise ring.So my question is how do i give it to her?and also what do i say?It is a promise that I will be hers for the rest of our lives (or at least as long as she wants me haha)Like, i actually think i can word it in a good way,so my real question is just... how do i give it to her?first off, since it IS a pre-engagement ring...should i talk with her parents first? or is it not set-in-stone enough to need to do all that?second, do i just open it to show her and put it on her ring, get down on one knee (i doubt that cause its not asking her to marry me... well... it kind of is... idk, im gonna leave all options open to whoever it is that is reading this)i hope you get what im asking...Just because i know the question is going to come up, we are both 18.THANKS!

Answer:
when your completly alone with her be like "do you love me?" if she says yes, say "do you want to be together forever?" if she says yes say, "open your hand." then put the ring in her hand and say "i dont want to get married just yet, but promise me that we will one day." then kiss her.you dont need to talk with her parents, when your officially going to ask her to marry you then you will.until then you wont.good luck :)

Question : does an engagement ring have to be one stone? pic examples...?
can an engagement ring have more than one stone or does it have to have one.like this: http://www.preciousglow.com/Product/14k-white-gold-0.33-ct-round-diamond-pre-set-classic-solitaire-e ngagement-ring--3000648.htmlor can it be like this?: http://www.jewelrycentral.com/product.asp?pID=3278&cID=7(i have like the second one (though a bit more subtle), but one of my friends said this isnt a "real" engagement ring and that real ones only have one stone like the first pic) is she right? would people think this is an engagment ring?

Answer:
NO she is not right. Maybe in the old days but I have had 2 engagement rings and both were 3 stones. I loved mine. People who say stupid things like that have a bit of jealously to them so don't worry about her.Good luck and God bless,..
