Editorial Review :
Inspired by Princess Diana and the now Kate Middleton sapphire ring, this royal style engagement ring is made of silver plated and is crowned by clear round-cut diamond CZ stones all around. Finished in rhodium plating. The band is pave-set halfway around with diamond CZs for added glamour. A stunning 5 carat blue sapphire CZ center stone in oval shape and 4-prong setting completes the piece. A sassy piece to add to your collection. Though not an identical reproduction, this ring is strikingly similar to the real thing. Be at ease when purchasing, this ring is made of top quality materials.

Editorial Review :
Exquisite CZ wedding ring set in a vintage style. Three faceted hand set cubic zirconia stones adorn the engagement ring of this solid sterling silver wedding ring set. The center stone is a 1 cart princess cut which is accented by two side set stones which are .50 carats each, and set off by inlaid side baquette stones. The wedding band is adorned in pave stones. Both of the solid sterling silver bands are heavily plated in a platinum derivative which gives them the shine and tarnish free wear of a solid platinum ring at a fraction of the cost. Making this a beautiful and affordable wedding ring set.

Questions & Answers
Question : What should we do with our Engagement Rings?
My fiancee and I got plain engagement 'bands'. Now for the wedding we are having more traditional rings made (with a diamond for her). Our wedding rings won't match our engagement rings, and I can't find any advice on what to do with the bands. Wear them on our right hands? Display them? Just keep them tucked away as a memory?
Answer:
During those times when you're out and about doing sporting or outdoorsy stuff, I would use the older rings. For work or special events, I would wear the new ones.***

Question : What is your favorite style of engagement rings?
I am looking for engagement rings this week and was wondering if you could give me some good places to go or websites. I am looking for a ring that does not have the center stone already included as I would like to have aquamarine as the center stone. I would also like it to be a set with the wedding band with it. I would like the price to be under 1300 total with everything. Thanks so much for your help!
Answer:
I like unusual, modern settings that feature a solitary stone, or a two stone bypass style.I also like heirloom style, especially art-deco. I prefer colored gemstones to diamonds....settings can be either platinum or yellow gold depending on the stones, some look better in white metals, some look better in yellow.Go to your local jewelers, the private ones first before the chain stores...many offer loose stones and settings for a custom look....and beautiful choice, the aquamarine.

Question : how did the tradition of having engagement and wedding rings start?
Does anyone know at what point couples start using both engagement and wedding rings? and who decided that the engagement ring is (normally) more fancy than the simple wedding band? wouldnt it make more sense the other way aruond as marriage is the big step?ive just been wondering this while my fiance and i look at wedding bands!

Question : Why are engagement rings more expensive than wedding rings? Where I get a best quality one in cheap price?
We are looking for good diamond engagement rings. But some of my friends tell us it is more expensive than wedding rings. Why are engagement rings more expensive than wedding rings? Where I get a best quality one in cheap price?
Answer:
Generally speaking, the engagement ring has the main stone on it.The wedding band has much smaller stones on it therefore costing less.I got my wife's ring at Diamond Brokers of Florida:http://www.dbof.com/Or you could check out these other online sources:www.WhiteFlash.comwww.GoodOldGold.comwww.ExcelDiamonds.comwww.BlueNile.comBlue Nile's database is good, but they don't provide you with photos or analysis reports (ASET, Isee2, B-scope, etc) of the diamond. I wouldn't go with them for that reason.Happy hunting.***

Question : Engagement RIngs?
which finger do boys wear their engagement ring??And which finger does girls wear thier engagement ring??
Answer:
women wear their engagement ring on the left ring finger. when she gets married, the wedding ring will go on the same finger.if a guy gets an engament ring, he may want to do the same thing or wear it on the right hand if it is a wide band to make it more comfortable.

Question : engagement rings?
hi! my boyfriend and i are planning on looking for engagement rings soon and we kind of have no idea what we're looking for. how much is the ring supposed to cost/how big is the diamond supposed to be? most people say it's supposed to be proportional but i'm not sure what that means. i'm 5'4 and almost 120 pounds if that helps lol. thanks!
Answer:
Don't even bother about what people say. Go with what you like. That is all that matters. I would advise that you go online, and look up engagement ring pictures to firstly get an idea of what you like the look of. Then go to your boyfriend to get an idea of price ideas. Just really roughly. Then go to lots of different shops and don't be afraid to try on different styles then what you like. The style that I liked looked horrible on me, so then I tried on all these other styles and fell in love with one I had previously hated! lf that makes sense lol. Just try on heaps, and get an idea of what you like then you can round it down. Oh I'll tell you what I wished I had done, when you go ring shopping bring a little notebook, pen and a digital camera. Write down all the ones you like in the shop, including the name of the ring, the name of the shop, price and the shop phone number and then take a photo of it. After half an hour they all start to look really similar and you forget which ring was where. This is what I wish I had done. Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS! :-)

Question : TACORI engagement rings? Does it have a stamp in the ring besides TACORI branding?
I have an TACORI ring that I've bought from QVC a while back. (Its not an engagement ring) Like most rings, they have a stamp inside that tells you where it came from. In this case, the QVC ring is an original Tacori ring and also indicates that it's from Thailand. For those who have a Tacori ENGAGEMENT ring, do you have any other stamps besides the TACORI letterings in it?
Answer:
no a tacori ring should only have it's stamp of tacori on the inside and the metal type. other then that no other stamping stating where it was made.

Question : How do wedding and engagement rings work?
This topic confuses me...Is the engagment ring traditionally more expensive, or cheaper than the wedding ring? Why are there 2 rings (engagement and wedding) wouldnt that be extremely expensive?Does the guy get an engagement ring too, or is the just the girl?Does the girl have to buy the guys wedding ring?Does the couple shop for the wedding rings together? Also, isn't there an engagement/wedding ring that is like 2 pieces, and when the wedding comes you get the 2nd piece?
Answer:
Q - Is the engagment ring traditionally more expensive, or cheaper than the wedding ring?A - The engagement ring is more expensive. Traditionally the man is supposed to spend 3 months salary on one, but that isn't really done as much these days.Q - Why are there 2 rings (engagement and wedding) wouldnt that be extremely expensive?A - Most engagement rings & wedding bands can be bought in a set to save money & then the rings will also match. There doesn't always have to be an engagement ring, but it's just grown to be a custom. When people mention being engaged everyone always wants to see the engagement ring. The wedding band speaks for itself.Q - Does the guy get an engagement ring too, or is the just the girl?A - Guys can have an engagement ring too. It's not tradition but it is becoming more popular lately. When I got engaged I bought my fiance a nice ring. Was nothing fancy cause it would just get damaged at work.Q - Does the girl have to buy the guys wedding ring?Usually the bride does buy the grooms ring. I think traditionally the grooms parents buy the wedding bands but not all traditional customs are followed thru on anymore.Q - Does the couple shop for the wedding rings together? Most of the time, yes. A lot of couples like to have matching rings therefore they'd shop together. But it can always be kept a surprise too.Q - Also, isn't there an engagement/wedding ring that is like 2 pieces, and when the wedding comes you get the 2nd piece?Yes, thats a bridal set. Engagement rings come in all shapes & sizes these days so the wedding band is made to fit perfectly with it. My engagement ring is princess cut & the matching wedding band has a square groove in it to fit perfectly. My sisters wedding band is curved to fit in with her wavy styled engagement ring.=)

Question : Is there an alternative to traditional engagement rings?
I look at engagement rings and they all seem the same ... mostly diamond solitaires. Has anyone got any ideas for an alternative stone or something that makes your engagement ring a little different? Do it have to be just diamond?
Answer:
Definitely go with a non-diamond stone! Just do your homework on the stone you choose so you are sure to get something sturdy that will hold up with everyday wear.My fiance chose an engagement ring setting and had a custom-cut aquamarine put in as the center stone. Here are pics:http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLanding.action?c=lgskr25.6yuceiv9&x=0&y=828uo1&localeid=en_US
