Questions & Answers
Question : is my ear lobe infected D: ?
okay so I got my second ear lobe piercing around dec 18my piercer messed up D:< and he pierced like the very bottom of my earso a month ago (in February) I decided I was going to switch my earrings.I think they have nickle in them, I'm not so sure..I have been cleaning then porperly till I put those other earrings inso like now I only clean them 2 a weekI just took off my earrings and noticed on my left ear there was soo much dried blood! I swear there was like this ball of blood a half a cm long : SI cleaned it and it started to bleed a biton a scale to 1-10 it only hurt like a 1 when I touched itwhen I looked up closely Above the hole was a bump, and around the hole is very dark(my right ear is fine )do you think it is infected ?

Answer:
doesn't sound like an infection, it sounds like he hit a vein. It can cause pools of dark looking blood in your ear lobe, beside the hole. Made worse every time you remove your earrings. Also, if you sleep on that side, it can cause pooling due to lack of circulation around the wound. Watch for tenderness, red streaks. swelling. Other than that, do not remove that earring, just wash it gently front and back with hydrogen peroxide, and rinse it with rubbing alcohol. If it changes to swelling, or gets worse, take the earring out an LEAVE it out. You can always have it re-done later. You can not re-grow an earlobe if it abscesses and eats a huge hole there. Just be careful, try not to sleep on it.

Question : Need advice for Industrial piercing infection. Any help?
Okay, so first, I pierced mine a little differently. I had the bottom hole pierced professionally then a couple months later did the top hole myself. I had two seperate earrings until I bought the industrial bar and (stupidly) had my friend force it through the much smaller holes last July. It was sore for a few days, but aside from that, it was fine. I cleaned it for a while and I developed no infection whatsoever. This changed when I went in for an MRI this last January. They were hurrying me to take all my metal jewelry out, so I did then had to rush to put it back in again after. It hurt, and I didn't clean it too well when I got home. Within about a week and a half, I developed a small ball next to the top hole (the 2nd one still looks ok). I've been worrying a bit since it looks like the beginning of a small keloid.Any suggestions? I'd perfer if answers came from those with experience or with other piercing knowledge. And I already know not to take it out. Please help.

Answer:
you should probably go to a doctor, they may want u to take antibiotics.

Question : How do I take these earrings out?
I got my ears pierced in early November, so it's been about three months and I'm told I can take out my earrings now. They're studs with kind of a small round ball for a backing. I've tried twisting, pulling, and unscrewing the back, but it's so small I can't get a good grip on it. I'm not quite sure it even can detach. Should I just try pulling the entire device out of my ear? (A month or so ago, I slept weird on my left ear and the back part of the earring got pushed halfway through my ear and the back grew over, so I had to get that part re-pierced...but does that mean that I can in fact pull the whole earring through, or was that just a freak accident?)Anyway, I need an answer soon. I just spent half an hour in front of the mirror helplessly trying to take out an earring.

Answer:
Pull the front and the backing simultaneously.

Question : Month & a half piercing, When can I change to a captive-ball earring?

Question : Is it o.k. for a guy to have earrings/ how do i ask my parents?
Hi, i'm 12 years old and I play baseball. I saw that alot of athletes have earrings (chad reed, barry bonds) There is no way that my parents will let me but i was wondering if it is gangster (i'm white) or gay to have earring when your a guy. When i'm 18 or older and i still want a earring i might go get it done. Can u help advise or give me help!!!!!!! also where can you buy those earings that are like a half circle and there is a ball on the end????? Thanks, chow

Answer:
Don't get earrings just because you want to be like an athlete, get them because you think they say something about you as a person... Examples: You like how they look, you like the thought of getting to choose from different earrings (like you choose your different clothes every day)... If you do it to be like someone else, it will be obvious that it's not really from you and they just won't work. The old rule is that one earring on the right side meant homosexuality. So, traditionally, a single piercing on the left side, or a single piercing on both sides says nothing about your sexuality. It's not gangster to have earrings. Especially if you're white. How to ask your parents so they might actually say yes: 1) Make sure you have the money to pay for everything - the piercing, the studs, the earrings, the cleaning solution.2) Ask them to come with you at a time that's convenient to them, so that they know you're getting them pierced at a good place. I know it's not cool to go with them, but if you want to get earrings, then this is important. You're already asking them to give up control and let you make a choice of your own - so you must let them control where and how it's done.3) Tell them you are just trying to find out who you are, and that you think earrings are right for you. You can then say that if they don't work out, you can let them close up. If it's a temporary thing that expresses who you are, then earrings are as harmless as temporarily dying your hair, painting your nails, or getting a funky haircut. In time, it can fix itself, unlike a tattoo.4) Assure them you won't gauge your ears with giant earrings that have huge holes in the center. The thought of those kinds of earrings freaks parents out because then those holes become more permanent than a tattoo, because not even a laser can close up a piercing that's been gauged. And the holes are a lot more difficult to hide than a tattoo.

Question : I can't see the inside part of my nose ring?
When my nose ring fell out i cleaned it and put it right back in. It goes through the hole but I can't see it on the inside of my nose, like the nosering doesnt go through all the way. Any reason why its doing that? I've had it done for maybe a week and a half/2 weeks and I had it with the needle at the tattoo place. Also the earring is the one with the little ball and the big ball at the ends.

Answer:
i love nose rings they look so cute i would go back to the place and ask if it's possible to use another type of ring
