Great things come in small packages! These huggie earrings are a great example of this old adage. Made from 925 sterling silver, these hoop huggie earrings give off a stunning shine. The polished silver and pave encrusted CZ stones combine for a dazzling effect. Huggy earrings are usually very versatile. They can be worn with an array of different outfits. These sterling silver hoops are a sophisticated charming piece and are sure to impress wherever you wear them. These huggie earrings with hidden snap posts are for pierced ears only.

Questions & Answers
Question : What's your opinion on this? Especially guys who's planning on proposing... Would it sit well with you if..?
..if the diamond or gem comes from your girlfriend, and then all she would ask of you is to have it re-set into an engagement ring? I have a number of stones that I inherited from my mother, and some stones are set in earrings that lost one pair, example I have a pair of ruby earrings wherein one earring got lost - so I wouldn't be able to wear that pair again.. So I'm thinking why not have one of these stones re-set into an engagement ring to significantly save money?Would this sit well with you gentlemen? Or would you rather want to buy the whole thing yourself?
Answer:
Good idea. Just don't imply that it is being done because you know your boyfriend can't afford it or because you don't trust him to make the right ring choice.

Question : Selling gold in Toronto-area?
When I got married, I got gold jewelry from some family members. I don't really like yellow gold so I've never worn any of this. I have no idea what carat any of it is, but its mostly Persian style jewelry. I have a thick necklace and earring set (looks to be 18 to 24k), a thinner necklace of white gold, two rings (one with a very large blue gem, over 2 carats), and a two toned necklace (white/yellow mix). Does anyone know how much these would sell for? Anywhere I can sell them in the GTA (perferably Mississauga or York Region)?

Question : Who wants to try and solve some ancient India algebra problems?
Out of a swarm of bees 1/5 settled in a field, 1/3 settled on a stone. 3 times the difference of those numbers flew to the bloom of a Kataja flower. one bee which remained hovered in the air, tell me the number of bees. 8 rubies, 10 emeralds and 100 pearls are in a set of earrings. The sum of the prices of the 3 sorts of gems were 3 less then half a hundred. Tell me the price of each gem. Good Luck! First person to write out the equations and get both questions right get best answer!
Answer:
x/5 + x/3 + 3(x/3-x/5) + 1 = x3x + 5x + 3(5x-3x)+15 = 15x8x + 3(2x) + 15 = 15x14x + 15 = 15xx = 15Not sure I understand the second one, though.

Question : Custom earring -- Is it possible?
I am considering getting a custom earring made. I want to get a single 14-10 gage earring that is in the shape of the Pisces )-( thing. I don't know what it is called. I want the setting, or what in a traditional earring would be the gold or platinum or stainless steel casing, to be hand-crafted onyx. The actual gem I would like to be bloodstone. The shaft and backing can be whatever will work. I am male, so feminine jewelery is not what I'm looking for. I don't want to know about price, I want to know about possibility. I am prepared to look all over the world for someone with enough skill, I just want to know if it's possible. Examples of impossibility would be, "Bloodstone/onyx can't cut that way," or something. Responses from actual gemcrafters or geologists would be wonderful!!!PS: Can anyone tell me what that )-( thing is called as well?!?!?!??
Answer:
my friend can make earrings :)

Question : What should my pricing be on my candles?
I make soy candles & bath and body products that I will began to sell them at the flea market in two weeks, so I am not sure of what the pricing should be for my products but I do have an idea. "tell me what you think" and I would love your constructive input please:12.6 oz candle 10.50 (buy 2 or more: 9.50 each) 9 oz candle 7.50 (buy 2 or more: 6.50 each) 6.4 oz candle 4.50 (buy 2 or more: 3.50 each)Bath and BodySets, which consist of body lotion, body wash and body mist: 15.50or 5.50 each, buy two sets and get 3.50 off Candle Set Baskets: which consist of two 6.4oz candles, three piece bath set, bubble bath, bath bar and bath accessories. 32.50I also have jewlry that I will be selling which consist of earrings necklace and bracelets ( have not set prices for that as yet)And tell you a bit about my products so you can get an idea:The reason I started making my own candles is because I was tired of wasting my money on something I could hardly smell, my candles are made with 100% soy wax and I make them with a stronger sense of smell so that your home can be filled with fragrance hours after you blow it out. I also want my product to be affordable, I hate when I go in some places and have to pay 20.00 for a candle. Now the bath and body also came along from frustration, I would go to places and spend 22.50 for a set only to get home, get in the shower and it is just as runny as the water, so it compelled my to make a thicker lathering gel that smell good as victoria secret. Now the jewlry! I just love jewlry, I love stone and gems, and my husband always ask me honey why do you always take a long bubble bath , than put on your pj's and jewlry, to me in my world I guess it goes together! I always say look pretty even when going to bed!so tell me what do you guys think, be honest and expressive, I don't break!
Answer:
Well, I don't know about your lotions and stuff, but I love good candles.I think your pricing is pretty much on the money.Maybe even a little cheap. And I don't mind paying a bit extra for good candles.Best of luck in your "enterprise"..

Question : I just inherited my Mom's Jewelry. Stuff that had been laying around for years.?
Unfortunately she had no burial policy, so Hubby and I had to borrow the money to bury her. I dont want to keep most of this stuff and would like to help out. Anyone have a suggestions as to who to talk to as far as appraisal and selling of most of the pieces. Any suggestions? She had a black diamond necklace set in silver (touches of tourquoise also) with drop matching earrings, a couple of dinner rings, loose gem stones and few pieces of gold jewelry.
Answer:
Take the pieces to a 'reputable' jewelery appraiser, antique perhaps? I had the same situation, I went to 3 different appraisers, and boy, did I get different prices ranges... Be very cautious and take your time.I finally found the 4th appraiser about 80 to 100 miles from my home. and he topped all the the prices.Glad I took the time and searched out for the best.good luck

Question : Fruit Jewellery - Need help to make it!?
Hey all.My class this year are setting up their own Mini Companies. I recently saw a video about this lady who had made jewelery from fruit, glitter and some other stuff. Could anyone tell me how this is done, how can you dry out the fruit and prevent it from rotting?I go to an all girls school, and I reckon plenty of them would be into some cutesy cherry earrings and other fruity gems! Thanks in advance.

Question : Can I take raw garnets and tumble them in a rock tumbler? I want to turn it into Jewelry!!?
I have raw garnets that look like this: http://www.geology.neab.net/pictures/rock309.jpgSome are the size of peas, and some are the size of half-dollars. Will putting them in a rock tumbler polish the rough parts away and leave solid garnets? I've never done this before and I don't want to buy a rock tumbler if it isn't going to polish it down all the way to a smooth gem. Any tips? I want to take the polished stones and turn it into a jewelry set, like rings and earrings and necklaces, etc.
Answer:
I'm not sure what you mean by "smooth." A rock tumbler will polish your stones but not get rid of the bumps and lumps on the surface. You need to have them cut to have them look like the ones you see in stores. So in other words, your garnets will have the same basic shape but will be shiny. So, no, a rock tumbler is not what you are looking for.

Question : What is the stone?
i have this earring i found and i KNOW the gem is real, i just don't know what it is. here is a description:Whiteset in silversimilar to opal, but there is not enough color in it for it to be an opal.
Answer:
It could be opel, just damaged from oils, lotions, even an infection of some sort, opels are about the most fragil stone there is. it could be perl, or mother of perl, but without a picture, it is hard to say.
