Question : Are there any magnetic earrings that really stay, or should I just use clip-ons?
I love double earrings but HATE the looks of having 2 holes in your ear.. I dunno I'm weird. I bought some puny Claire's ones (3mm) and lost them the same day, so I went and got bigger ones but I'm scared they'll fall out again. Should I get clip-on's instead? (but I really want studs)Btw, is there a physical store that sells ruby magnetic/clip-ons? I like studs for doubles.

Magnetic earrings no matter how fancy they appear are the most unreliable earrings that a person can wear. Not only are our ears not thin enough to hold the earring in place but the magnetic pull between the two piece of jewel is not strong enough!I have had my fair share of loosing magnetic earrings in the past, until i discovered clip-on which basically served the same purpose to a person with ears that are not pierced.I suggest you stop wasting money on magnetic earrings and start using clip-on earrings that are much more lasting. Question : Earrings - Should I keep the clip ons or get my ears pierced?
For about 3 years I have had a pair of small gold hoop earrings. Although they look exactly like pierced hoops, they aren't, the tension of the hoop keeps them in place. I sleep with them, bathe with them, and they have never fallen off.I had always thought they were fine, so I never bothered getting the real thing. I had said to myself that if I did, I would only wear small hoops anyway, so there was no point.Thing is, they look too much like pierced earrings. So much so that my Mother In Law bought me a gorgeous pair of tiny diamond studs.She offered to get them converted to clip-ons, but they would look awful if she did.I can't decide whether to bite the bullet and get a pair of holes. I am not bothered about it hurting. I can't see it being much worse than giving blood, but the hoops are really nice - and the studs they pierce you with look rotten. They are a horrible 8==D shape and I would have to put up with them for 6 weeks! What do you think I should do?

put up with the crappy ones for 6 weeks. it's really worth it especially when you wanna wear the diamonds to a nice family dinner with your in-laws. it would mean a lot to her to see you do something like that and I'm sure she'd feel her gift was appreciated.

Question : Can wearing clip on earrings cause infections just like piercings?
Sometimes I wear clip on earrings, and some are pretty tight and feel painful later, and when I take them off there can be temporary dents, and sometimes sort of bruise. I can feel bumps under my skin in the ear lobes. Is this caused by the earrings or not? Can clip ons cause infection??

No. Clip ons don't pierce the skin and it has to pierce the skin to cause an infection.

Question : How to make pin-earrings into clip-ons?
I had my ears pierced at one point, but they closed up. I want to get some new earrings and pierce my ears, but nobody seems to know the actual rules about piercing ears at this trade school I'm in right now. So I figure that the best way to do it is to wear clip-on earrings.. but the earrings I want most are only designed with the pins and not the clips. Is there a way to make them into clip-on earrings so I can wear them without getting in trouble at this center?

It depends where you want pierced. If you want to have them across the cartilage (helix or the top of the ear) you can use spring loaded hoops like these: http://www.make-me-beautiful.co.uk/shop/sexy-spring-loaded-black-hoops-1-25cm-x5-627.htmlIf you just want an offset stud to compliment your existing pierced earrings, then I'd say that magnetic may be better simply because clips can only get so small and that may limit your ability to lay them out to your taste. A mini clip fastening - the smallest type of clip on - will typically go down to a 5mm crystal or stud (although harder to find as a stud) whereas magnetic earrings are pretty much always smaller than 1cm because they become more likely to fall the larger they are due to the bigger weight of the earring.You could pierced it but outside of the lobe the ear is more likely to scar so you could always experiment with introducing some non-pierced earrings first. If it becomes a signature look for you that you do everyday, then you could make it a permanent addition but why rush straight into it when there are tons of decent and low cost alternatives that don't have any more risk attached to them than spending a few dollars?

This is just an idea I'm not sure if it will work. Okay get yourself a hot glue gun,pliers,and clip on backs and I think you can get it at michael's. Take off the back stud thing then take your pliers and take of the screw and then put a drop of hot glue on the back and attach your clip on. Hope this helped c:
