Question : Is there a way to convert normal earrings into Clip-Ons?
I'm in a wedding and I'm the only girl without pierced ears, the earrings have already been bought for me, how can I convert them to clip-ons?
Answer:
Go to michaels or your local craft store and find the jewelry section. You should see little bags full of earring hooks, studs, and others for other stuff. you'll see a bag with the clip on earring part. get that. you'll also need pliers. take the hook or whatever back you have, off the wedding earrings by bending the circle with pliers. attach the earring to the clip on partyou could just get your ears pierced though lolgood luck

Question : Can wearing clip on earrings cause infections just like piercings?
Sometimes I wear clip on earrings, and some are pretty tight and feel painful later, and when I take them off there can be temporary dents, and sometimes sort of bruise. I can feel bumps under my skin in the ear lobes. Is this caused by the earrings or not? Can clip ons cause infection??

No. Clip ons don't pierce the skin and it has to pierce the skin to cause an infection.

Question : How do I convert post earrings into clip ons?I got some from icing, but i have to somehow bend the post.How?
They are little pearl studs. Am I supposed to bend the little metal part that goes into the ear normally? If so how can I if the metal part is too small?
Answer:
It is not really possible to convert them into clips by bending the posts. You actually need to remove the pearls and reattach them to clip-findings> http://www.pearlparadise.com/detail.aspx?ID=2282You can remove the pearls by soaking them in a pearl-safe solvent or by heating them in water. This can be done in about 30 seconds in the microwave.

I love double earrings but HATE the looks of having 2 holes in your ear.. I dunno I'm weird. Magnetic earrings no matter how fancy they appear are the most unreliable earrings that a person can wear. Not only are our ears not thin enough to hold the earring in place but the magnetic pull between the two piece of jewel is not strong enough!I have had my fair share of loosing magnetic earrings in the past, until i discovered clip-on which basically served the same purpose to a person with ears that are not pierced.I suggest you stop wasting money on magnetic earrings and start using clip-on earrings that are much more lasting. Try both. I use to do clip-ons as I wasn't into the idea of peirced ears and then I discovered magnetic earrings and was very excited. However, in the end both hurt and scab your ears (on both the lower soft lobes and on the more cartilage areas). Yes magnetics do that, too. Initially when wearing the magnetics, they seem to hurt less, but as the day goes on it is like the magnets are trying to get closer and closer to one another, really squeezing your ear almost to the point of numbness. (But over all magnetics seem to hurt less even though your ear still goes numb. hm)I used the magnets on my lower upper lobes because I had gotten the lower soft lobes peirced (my own made up terminology). When I took them off it was painful. Due to experience I knew scabs would come and they did. The scabs rub off easily (wait for them to develp and dry and get old--about one day), but I advise paying close attention to the feel and texture to your ears after wearing the earrings. Though I still prefer magnetic earrings to clip ons, due to the downside of both, I decided to just get my lower lobes peirced. I may get more ear peircings and stop using magnets althogether depending on how I do with my ear up keep. If you don't clean the periced area or your earrings properly you will have a very bad experience. Another kind of earring you could look into are cuff earrings.I actually found this question while looking for threads on the effects of magnetic earrings so even magnetic earrings leave you wondering, is it worth it.
