Question : How would you describe this ring?
I saw a ring today on a girl's finger, and I'd love to have one like it, but I can't find it on, for example, eBay, because the words I'd use to describe it aren't very helpful. It was U-shaped, and long, so that the base of the ring was right under the joint of her finger, and then it curved at the back of her hand. It had different types of gemstones, too, but when I try to use words like "curved" or "U-shaped," I get engineering things or other body jewelry. Help me, please, if you can.
Answer:
I think multiple gems or assortment of gems should be about right. The ring she has might be an original ring that she designed herself cuz I have never heard of something like that. My best idea would be to go to a jeweler and describe the ring to them and see if they can tell you what it is or you can look around the jewelry store and see if you see anything familiar. Question : Husband won't wear wedding ring, should i be worried?
We have been married a little over two years. We both got rings when we married, but he lost his within 2 weeks of getting it. He says he lost it playing basketball. I was upset about it but didn't make a big deal about it. I wear my ring everyday. Once in a while I will ask him 'hey babe lets look at the men rings at the jewelry store, maybe you'll like one'. He just shrugs his shoulders and says ' i don't need to wear a ring. i don't like it'. I have always been a laid back person who doesn't get upset over little things. But for some reason this has been bothering me lately. I don't care if he wears his ring everyday. I would just like him to have a ring so when we go out together or when we visit relatives for the holidays he could wear it. He says he doesn't like wearing any jewelry at all. oh yea, and another thing, a few months back, we were walking at the mall and he saw a friend of his from work and introduced me to him as his 'girl'. I didn't catch it at first but when his friend walked off, i asked him 'why didn't you tell him I'm your wife?' He said 'I'm not use to calling you my wife, i'm still getting used to the whole married thing'. I just let it go, i didn't make a big deal out of it. But it's been bothering me this whole time. I'm 27 and he's 31. We dated one year before we married. Is this something i should worry about? Are there husbands that refuse to wear a wedding ring? Is this normal? Please only serious answers. Thank u.my husband is very loving. He works, I don't have to work. I stay home, cook and clean for him, wash his clothes, I am always there for him. He buys me things, always wants to take me out. Always tells me he loves me and says he's lucky i'm his wife. He hardly ever goes out without me.

Question : what should i get my girl for our one year anniversary?
me and my girl's one year anniversary is coming up and people tell me to get her jewelry. I have made my choices between a ring necklace or a bracelet. which one of these should i get her? and when i do give it to her i need to come up with a way to give it to her instead of saying "here happy anniversary." Ladies i really need your advise on this one. Remember what should i get her and how to give it to her.

Ahhh, I remember those early years. The necklace, 1 dozen roses and a candle lit dinner for two (you might try preparing it yourself). Place the roses in the center of the table with the necklace dangling from them, soft music and wine (if you drink). Blind fold her (very loosely) and lead her into the room. Question : What color gem should I get for a girl with blue eyes/dark brown hair?
Yeah, so this girl's (who I like and who knows I like her) birthday is coming up and I want to give her earrings/ring/necklace with a gem in it. I want to know what would be the best gem to have on the piece of jewelry so that it'll compliment her pretty, blue eyes.

Definatelly blue. Blue gems are just plain beautiful and they would show up more when the wearer has blue eyes. And the blue eyes would be more noticeable with the blue crystals/gems/whatever.However, If you aren't going out or anything, isn't it a little.... forward to give her jewelry? It's important to remember her birthday, but is a earrings/ring/necklace set the thing to get her? I'd be impressed, but a little weirded out if a guy that I thought liked me gave me something like that, and also, if you don't end up together... well wouldn't it be awkward?Somebody my mom dated gave her a garnet necklace and when she married somebody else several years down the road she didn't really like wearing the neclace, because she had moved on.Just something to consider.

Question : What happened to girl's navel rings?
Lately I've noticed in professional photographs showing ladies tummies that many girls have removed their navel rings and yet the disgusting scar remains obvious. Either get some laser scar removal or leave the jewelry in ladies? Am I missing something?

Question : We're getting married, and each have kids. Is $175 too much to spend on a wedding gift for our children?
My fiancee and I are getting married soon. We each have children from former marriages. I wanted to get something nice for our children, who are 15, 10 and 8. I found these beautiful sterling silver chains with interlocking rings at Tiffany, and thought it would be symbolic and thoughtful to give the gift of a piece of jewelry with a ring motif, to symbolize the union of our two families. We could give it to them just before the ceremony, or just after. My daughter would get the girl's one with the interlocking rings, and the boys would get a heavier chain with just one masculine ring hanging from it. We're spending around $35K for the wedding, not including the honeymoon, but my fiance thinks $175 is too much money to spend for a gift for the children. He also thinks the symbolism is too much. Am I crazy, or is he being a little too careful with the funds?

I think that your intentions are good, and if you were to tell me that you had three daughters and they were a little older, I would agree with you that it is a beautiful sentiment and they would appreciate and wear your gift often.However, given that two of them are boys, and I'm not sure which ones are 8 and 10, but I cannot envision a boy of any age wearing such a chain. My issue isn't necessarily with the amount of the gift but if the gift itself will even be appreciated. And I think if one of his children ends up taking the gift and losing it (as children often do) your feelings will be hurt as you will take it that they aren't respecting and embracing the union of the two families.Considering the amount you are spending on your wedding (and no one has any right to judge you for that, as the average wedding in the US costs about 28,000 and you are clearly not a couple in your 20's just starting out financially, and I imagine you already have college funds set up for your kids...but I digress) I don't think the amount for each child is too extravagant, but I would look around for something else or consider a family get away as someone else suggested, which would truly allow the two families to bond into one. Even just a fun weekend getaway now that school is out would probably be much appreciated by everyone and help to start building those memories as the new family. Then when you get back, put together a digital picture frame with pictures of all of you together and have that in a central part of your home.Best of luck to you and your family!
