Question : Need girl's advice on jewelry present for my girlfriend's birthday!?
So I'm trying to find some nice jewelry for her for her birthday. I have given her a pretty nice ring about a year ago and she has some nice necklaces so I was thinking bracelet or earings. Bracelets just seem a lot more excited maybe its because im a guy? heh. Anyways check out these sites and link any that stand out. I am hoping to spend no more than 200$ although I don't have a ton of extra money and would rather not go over 150$. Heres Kay, they seem to have a good selection. They all look the same to me though...ahh help.http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SearchResultsView?No=0&Ne=1&Ntt=bracelet&Ntk=Produ cts&langId=-1&storeId=10101&N=0&catalogId=10001Tiffanys of course. (expensive)http://www.tiffany.com/shopping/item.aspx?sku=GRP01430&cid=96666&mcat=148204&menu=1And then...http://www.tiffany4u.com/home.php?cat=249&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=1If you know any other sites feel free to link from there. Any help is much appreciated! Thankyou.
Answer:
check with your local jeweler about starting an 'add a diamond' bracelet. you start out with a 'tennis like bracelet' with one diamond ... each year, or anniversay or special occasion, you can buy your girlfriend a diamond to add to the bracelet. it is also a great gift as family and friends can also purchase a diamond to add to her bracelet. my dad started my mom on one and it has been fun to see her bracelet with one diamond, grow into a fantastic bracelet with lots of diamonds! have fun!

Question : What are some middle school fashion trends - 2009/2010?
I've been home-schooled since the middle of fifth grade, now I'm in seventh grade, and I'm thinking about going to middle school this year, even IF it's already started. I'm ALWAYS worrying over my clothes and hair and I don't want to be the 'nerdy new-girl' or the 'dumb blonde with no taste in fashion'. I kinda like big ear-rings and gaudy jewelry (my grandfather owns jewelry stores) and I like low-cut t's with camisole's, of course. My friends, who I made in elementary school, don't really care much about fashion or how they look ... I DO! What kind of phone (at&t, please), clothes, shoes, jewelry, hair-style/color, etc., do I NEED for middle school? I don't even know if I WANT to go to middle school because of these things. If it help's I've got hot pink glasses, Valentino. Trends, please!!!
Answer:
im in middle school to answer your questions. we like ribbons, necklaces, not so big on big earrings, converse, try contacts, verizon phones w/keyboard, straight/wavy hair, skinny jeans, cute shirts, headbands, take dance/tumbling, vollyball, necklaces, the new trend is splatterpaint right now, use to be peace signs and zebra, low cut socks, low cut bright socks(acadamy) makeup(eye liner, mascara), nail polish, bright colors, flats. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090927175033AAyFBp3

Question : Where can i get good deals on Diamond Engagement rings?
I have seen some websites but i don't really know much about jewelry, and also how do i get the size of my girl's finger without letting her know
Answer:
Please, please, please do NOT get an engagement ring from Walmart, ebay, or a department store. I completely understand that you want a good deal, but remember that she will wear this ring FOREVER, and it is a constant reminder of your love for her.Good jewelry stores such as Tiffany and Kay Jewelers have smaller, good quality rings at affordable prices...please check both of those out before you make your decision. Those stores are also very good about sizing the ring after you give it to her. Reminder: it's better to buy it too big.

Question : Unique Girl's Names - Will be Published!?
So I select product names for my company, and we choose girl's names for our jewelry. Problem is, I'm running out of names! So here's what I'm asking: go to the Emitations website (link below) and search for whatever name you have/like/suggest/etc. If no items match, then you have a name that I want to know!Post it here and the best name (or list of names) will get the points for best answer, plus I will name a jewelry item after it. You can even tell me if you prefer a ring, necklace, etc. Could be a great gift for a friend, new mommy, etc, or just a nice way to see your unique name get some representation. I really appreciate the help! Also, we like names from different cultures, parts of the world, religions, etc, so anything goes!link: http://www.emitations.com/?utm_source=jmw1&utm_medium=namesyahooanswers&utm_campaign=ya

Question : How would you describe this ring?
I saw a ring today on a girl's finger, and I'd love to have one like it, but I can't find it on, for example, eBay, because the words I'd use to describe it aren't very helpful. It was U-shaped, and long, so that the base of the ring was right under the joint of her finger, and then it curved at the back of her hand. It had different types of gemstones, too, but when I try to use words like "curved" or "U-shaped," I get engineering things or other body jewelry. Help me, please, if you can.
Answer:
I think multiple gems or assortment of gems should be about right. The ring she has might be an original ring that she designed herself cuz I have never heard of something like that. My best idea would be to go to a jeweler and describe the ring to them and see if they can tell you what it is or you can look around the jewelry store and see if you see anything familiar. Hope that helped! : )

Question : Can anybody give me some serious custody advice?
Okay. Now this may be a little long. I'm thinking of trying to get custody of my niece. I'm worrying about all of this and I'm wondering what i should do. This is basically what is going on: Okay now I'm up in Wyoming with my husband who is military and my 3 kids. Now my mom, stepdad, my brother, his wife, and his kid are all in TN. My brother has sort of a disablility. He has a big leg and it has sores on it, which causes him severe pain. He can't work and is on pain meds (narcotitics ) The doctors don't know what is wrong with his leg. There have been many misdiagnoses. He is addicted to these narcotitics. Its so bad, he buys extras off the street. He has stolen money and jewelry from my mom, sold my sister-in-laws jewelry, and pawned alot of his stuff just to get the extra meds. He doesn't have a job, nor does his wife. They are living off of his disability. I think his wife gets disability too, but I'm not sure. They don't have a house and keep bouncing from my mom's house, her mom's house, and her sister's house. My poor niece who is 3 yrs old is caught in the middle. She was real close to getting ahold of my brothers meds, because according to my mom they were laid out on the table at my sister-in-law's mom's house. She is also getting potty trained, but my sister-in-law tells her to tell when she needs to potty and spanks her when she wets herself. My brother, her, and my niece were staying with my mom for months. My brother stole money(this was actually a set up from my mom to catch him) from my mom and she kicked them out(mind you this is yet another time he has stolen money). Then when they were grabbing all their junk, my brother stole 21 of my mom's rings. We found out he sold the rings for their gold, so my mom will never be able to get her rings back since they have been melted. Anyway after all that crap, my mom tried to blackmail my brother in order to see my niece. It backfired and now my brother and his wife are keeping her from seeing my niece because they told the law my mom was blackmailing them. Right before it backfired, my sister-in-law told my niece that my mom and stepdad didn't love her anymore before taking her to visit my mom. The poor girl kept crying during a visit with my mom(according to my mom) about her paw paw and memaw didn't love her anymore. My mom asked her who told her that and she said, "My mommy told me." I think that can be considered emotional abuse. My step father says he spoke to a lawyer whom told them to wait it out a while before trying to get custody because it would costs lots. My mom and stepdad have low income and I think it wouldn't cost that much. I believe they could get a public defender. But they aren't listening to me. My mom complains alot but isn't doing anything. I'm thinking of getting custody myself, but I'm not sure what to do, or even if I can do anything. I'm dying to call social serivice in TN, but I don't have evidence, just hearsay from my mom. I'm worried about my niece. I don't want her growing up with an unstable life surrounded by drugs and unfit parents. Now yes I have 3 kids, I'm a stay at home mom, and my husband is a Sgt in the military. I have an older brother, but he is staying with friends, because he doesnt have a house, he has a very low paying job, and is still single. Besides my mom, I'm this girl's only hope. My sister-in-laws siblings are unfit, from what I've been told, and her mom has disowned her and had her banned from the apartment complex they live in because she stole from her mom too. Whew. So that is the jigst of it. So what in the world should I do?Well to those skeptical here is what I think would make them take her out of the home:1 No stability for the child (no stable home, just constantly moving her from place to place)2 No stable source of income for the child3 Severe mood altering drugs used in overdose which is making my brother a danger and neglectful around the child4 Emotional abuse steming from my sister-in-law telling her lies about people not loving her and from spanking her when she pees on herself during potty training5. My brother and his wife steal for more drugs and or necessitiesI believe that spells unfit and possible neglect and abuse to which she can be removed from the home.
Answer:

Question : We're getting married, and each have kids. Is $175 too much to spend on a wedding gift for our children?
My fiancee and I are getting married soon. We each have children from former marriages. I wanted to get something nice for our children, who are 15, 10 and 8. I found these beautiful sterling silver chains with interlocking rings at Tiffany, and thought it would be symbolic and thoughtful to give the gift of a piece of jewelry with a ring motif, to symbolize the union of our two families. We could give it to them just before the ceremony, or just after. My daughter would get the girl's one with the interlocking rings, and the boys would get a heavier chain with just one masculine ring hanging from it. We're spending around $35K for the wedding, not including the honeymoon, but my fiance thinks $175 is too much money to spend for a gift for the children. He also thinks the symbolism is too much. Am I crazy, or is he being a little too careful with the funds?
Answer:
I think that your intentions are good, and if you were to tell me that you had three daughters and they were a little older, I would agree with you that it is a beautiful sentiment and they would appreciate and wear your gift often. However, given that two of them are boys, and I'm not sure which ones are 8 and 10, but I cannot envision a boy of any age wearing such a chain. My issue isn't necessarily with the amount of the gift but if the gift itself will even be appreciated. And I think if one of his children ends up taking the gift and losing it (as children often do) your feelings will be hurt as you will take it that they aren't respecting and embracing the union of the two families.Considering the amount you are spending on your wedding (and no one has any right to judge you for that, as the average wedding in the US costs about 28,000 and you are clearly not a couple in your 20's just starting out financially, and I imagine you already have college funds set up for your kids...but I digress) I don't think the amount for each child is too extravagant, but I would look around for something else or consider a family get away as someone else suggested, which would truly allow the two families to bond into one. Even just a fun weekend getaway now that school is out would probably be much appreciated by everyone and help to start building those memories as the new family. Then when you get back, put together a digital picture frame with pictures of all of you together and have that in a central part of your home.Best of luck to you and your family!

Question : MEN VS. WOMEN PART 2 FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY.....IS IT?!?
Menopause:Women: When a woman reaches menopause, she goes through a variety of complicated emotional, psychological, and biological changes. The nature and degree of these changes varies with the individual.Men: Menopause in a man provokes a uniform reaction - he buys aviator glasses, a snazzy French cap and leather driving gloves, and goes shopping for a Porsche. The Phone:Men: Men see the telephone as a communication tool. They use the telephone to send short messages to other people.Women: A woman can visit her girlfriend for two weeks, and upon returning home, she will call the same friend and they will talk for three hours.Richard Gere:Women: Women like Richard Gere because he is sexy in a dangerous way.Men: Men hate Richard Gere because he reminds them of that slick guy who works at the health club and dates only married women.Madonna:Same as above, but reversed. Same reason.Toys:Women: Little girls love to play with toys. Then when they reach the age of 11 or 12, they lose interest.Men: Men never grow out of their toy obsession. As they get older, their toys simply become more expensive, silly and impractical. Examples of men's toys: little miniature TVs. Car phones. Complicated juicers and blenders. Graphic equalizers. Small robots that serve cocktails on command. Video games. Anything that blinks, beeps, and requires at least 6 "D" batteries to operate.Cameras:Men: Men take photography very seriously. They'll shell out $4000 for state of the art equipment, and build dark rooms and take photography classes.Women: Women purchase Kodak Instamatics. Of course, women always end up taking better pictures.Locker Rooms:Men: In the locker room men talk about three things: money, football, and women. They exaggerate about money, they don't know football nearly as well as they think they do, and they fabricate stories about women.Women: They talk about one thing in the locker room - sex. And not in abstract terms, either. They are extremely graphic and technical, and they never lie.Movies:Women: Every actress in the history of movies has had to do a nude scene. This is because every movie in the history of movies has been produced by a man.Men: The only actor who has ever appeared nude in the movies is Richard Gere. This is another reason why men hate him.Jewelry:Women: Women look nice when they wear jewelry.Men: A man can get away with wearing one ring and that's it. Any more than that and he will look like a lounge singer named Vic.Conversation:Men: Men need a good disagreement to get talking. For instance, "Wow, great movie." or "What are you, nuts? No REAL cop would have an Uzi that size."Women: Women, not having this problem, try to initiate conversations with men by saying something agreeable: "That garden by the roadside looks lovely.""Mm hmm." Pause. "That was a good restaurant last night, wasn't it?""Yeah." Pause. And so on.Leg Warmers:Women: Leg warmers are sexy. A woman, even if she's walking the dog or doing the dishes, is allowed to wear leg warmers. She can wear them any time she wants.Men: A man can only wear leg warmers if he is auditioning for the "Gimme the Ball" number in "A Chorus Line."Friends:Women: Women on a girls' night out talk the whole time.Men: Men on a boy's night out say about twenty words all night, most of which are "Pass the Doritos" or "got any more beer?"Restrooms:Women: Women use restrooms as social lounges. Women who've never met will leave a restroom giggling together like old friends. Women also go to the restroom in packs, at least two women at a time excuse themselves to use the restroom.Men: Men use restrooms for purely biological reasons. Men in a restrooms will never speak a word to each other. And never in the history of the world has a man excused himself from a restaurant table by saying, "Hey, Tom, I was just about to take a leak. Do you want to join me?"IT WAS TOO LONG TO FIT IN ONE QUESTION..IT WAS TOO LONG TO FIT IN ONE QUESTION..
Answer:
haha both of these parts are funny....thanks for the laughs!!Star for you!Dani
