Editorial Review :
This is high polished Italian Made Infant/ Toddler sterling silver Cuff Style Bangle Bracelet. Please choose sizes. We Recommend that you measure child's wrist before getting the engraving done as our loved ones, infant ,toddler come in all different sizes. If child wrist size is any bigger than 5 inches circumference, child cannot wear this bracelet. Engraving service is offered up to 7 letters without charging additional. If we engraved more than 7 letters, it would appear very small and won't be readable after 7th letters due to limited engravable surface. Upon completing the transaction, please do remember to leave us a message on buyer/ seller message board with what to engrave along with font style. For monogram style font, please do provide first, middle and last name initials so Last name can be in the center of the engraving. Once this item is monogrammed, item is not returnable nor exchangeable. Please do double check the measurement of engravable surface, child's wrist size and the initials before messaging the request. If we do not receive engraving request within two days of purchase, item will ship out as it is.

Questions & Answers
Question : Are identification bracelets for children small enough for a 2 year old to wear?
My two year old just gave me the scare of my life. Luckly we have a VERY sqeeky door and I was able to get to him before he entered the street. He just learned how to open doors, and I thought the front door was locked, but I guess I was wrong. Are I.D bracelets for children small enough for his wrist in case it should happen again?Cosmic-quest: We have baby gates everywere. Our front door is placed in a way that a gate can not block it off. We are also going out tonight to get a chain lock, and safty nobbs for the handle. It is one of the only doors in the house that does not have one.
Answer:
the con of ID bracelets is strangers can see the name of the bracelet and tell the child they know them or the childs parents and convince them to go with them

Question : Is this a good idea - allery identification tattoo?
I suffer from a severe nut allergy, even if i come into close contact i can go into Anaphylaxis shock. I always carry my epipen and adrenaline, but no one is perfect and therefore wears a medic alert bracelet, however i dont like wearing necklaces or bracelets, so i came up with an idea, i think its smart and so does my grandparents, my parents though are a bit skeptical as they dont like the idea of tatoos, as when you older they go all wrinkly and minging. Im not bothered to be honest. My idea is when a medic first checks yuu, he or she wil check for a pulse, then secondary survey looks for medic bracelets etc, but if i have the medic alert or star of life - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_of_Life symbol on one side, and the other saying my name and a severe nut allergy, not so big, but in red letters, i think its a good idea, but what do you think? Pro's and Cons please, im seriously considering
Answer:
as an emt i wouldn't give it a second look id see it as a tattoo an not take the time to read what it says as our job is to give you medical attn fast. An not pay attention to tattoos or what kind of clothing you have on. as for me id stay away from that idea sorry.

Question : Did ancient Egyptian slaves really wear those bracelets?
In the movies, it seems like any time the story takes place in ancient Egypt, and slaves are involved, the slaves always wear these metal armbands or bracelets. Also, Halloween costumes of Egyptian slaves all include the same kind of bracelets/armbands.Did the ancient Egyptians really do that? If so, why? Presumably, it was something involuntary for the slave. Was it for identification purposes? And if they didn't really, how did that stereotype get started? Please don't speculate as your answer. Answer only if you actually know some history or something relevant to my question.Thanks.
Answer:
All ancient Egyptians of every class wore bracelets, pendants, earrings, rings, [usually scarab type]...The wealthy and royal, of course wore gold, silver and precious stone in their jewelry, but ordinary Egyptians also wore jewelry made of less expensive material...Most of the 'slaves' you see in films are nothing but fiction....servants were plentiful, of course, and used by both royalty as well as the wealthy nobles and 'well-off' merchants and business people...They were much like your 'domestics' of today...paid for their services... although usually in material goods, such as food, clothing, and jewelry or other products.... and in most instances the servant and family were housed, fed, clothed etc...Being the servant in a royal or noble house was considered an honor in most 'serving' families and was also an inherited position, for the most part....There was a class of laborers, who worked in various businesses and on farms, but these were not considered 'slaves'...['slaves' were usually enemy soldiers, or non-combatants taken in a battle or war....or criminals...they usually worked in the various types of Egyptian mines, or other 'hard labor' duties....the non-combatants were usually 'Egyptianized' quite quickly, and although they may have been 'domestic slaves', they also were usually free to come and go when they were allowed...these made up a very small percentage of the 'servants' in an Egyptian household]..."Slaves, not as utterly without rights as they often were in other slave-owning societies, were relatively few in numbers, and it is debatable whether they should be looked on as a different social class.""Everyone in Egypt wore some type of jewelry. Rings and amulets were especially worn to ward off the evil spirits and injury. Both men and women wore pierced earrings, armlets, bracelets, and anklets. The rich wore jeweled or beaded collars, called a wesekh, necklaces, and pendants. For the rich, jewelry was made of gold, silver, or electrum (gold mixed with silver) and inlaid with semi-precious stones of turquoise, lapis lazuli (a deep blue stone), and carnelian (a copper or reddish orange stone). The poorer people wore jewelry that was made of copper or faience (made by heating powdered quartz)."isis1037@yahoo.com

Question : Type One Diabetes Medical Identification Tattoo?
Hello, I am 18 and I've been diabetic for my entire life. I keep a good A1C and control myself well but everyone has their bad moments. Sometimes I forget to wear my identification bracelet because I'm in a rush or due to other reasons. So I was thinking that getting a tattoo saying that I'm a diabetic and insulin dependent. I would want it to be noticeable in an emergency but very modest in every other situation. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Answer:
Here is the thing. Emergency medical personnel are trained to look for medical identification on a bracelet or medallion...they are not trained to look for tattoos. It's a innovative idea, but as this is not what they are going to be looking for and will be more concerned with helping you stabilize or survive, reading a tattoo at the same site as a bracelet or medallion is something they could likely miss (unlike a bracelet or medallion). I called a friend of mine who is an EMT and this is what he said. I know it's not what you are looking for, but honestly, put your clothes for the next day out the night before and put your bracelet on top so you put it on first.

Question : i have a question about those medical alert bracelets?
I just found out that I am very lactose intolerant; if I NEED to take a dairy aid (lactaid) before eating ANYTHING with even the least bit of dairy in it, should I wear a medical alert jewelry thing of some sort? Basically because I know some emergency medications have lactose in them... should I need to take one or be given one in an emergency should I get an identification thingy?
Answer:
as far as i know, lactose intolerance does not need a medical bracelet unless you have a life threatening reaction to it [i.e. not being able to breath, etc.]medical alert bracelets are more for patients with allergies to penicillin, who have diabetes or heart conditions or have serious medical issues.

Answer:
The O and O parents have to have and O baby..only possibility. The B and B parents have to have either B or O, but O is taken, so B.The AB and O parents had either and A or B baby, but B is taken so A.The A and B parents by default have the AB baby, which works out!

Answer:
My son has epilepsy and autism. Whenever we leave the house we put a medical alert bracelet on his wrist. On the front it shows he has Epilepsy and Autism and that he is allergic to Motrin and Peanut Butter. On the back, it has his name and our contact information. You can get one that looks like thishttp://www.medicalidstore.com/store/WsDefault.asp?One=600Here is my son's exact band (shown without the metal tag)http://www.medicalidstore.com/store/WsDefault.asp?One=181He loves to wear his bracelet and it looks so cute! Yours doesn't have to have medical information on it if you don't want to. I like it because it can be an id tag also.

Question : Do I need to wear a medical identification bracelet if my blood type is O-?
I also have seizures, not from epilepsy but from a post traumatic head injury. I might fall and hit my head and bleed out. One doctor suggested it, the other said it doesn't matter. Does anyone else have a similar problem or blood type that has to wear a bracelet for it?
Answer:
It would be a good idea to get a bracelet but you don't need one for your blood type. You will never get any blood other then O neg (universal donor) if you require a transfusion without a blood type and crossmatch first - even if you tell them what blood type you have, it will still be tested.
