Answer:
Try this site:www.allfreecrafts.com and then click on free crafts for kids.Now if you wrap it around an existing bracelet, fold the thread in half and create a loop at one end. Take that loop and hold it inside of the bangle. Take the other end with the two tails and thread through the loop, making it secure to the bangle. Wrap around until you run out of thread or want to change colors. Repeat the process if changing colors like you did for the first color. And keep the "knot" from the loop in the back too. Glue(use tacky glue) around every half an inch or so to keep things in place. Always try to end with the raw ends of the thread in back of the bracelet so you don't see where you started and stopped, and this will also make for a neater look and the threads won't frey and you can glue the heck out of it in the back if needed. I would practice and buy a couple of colors. The thread is really cheap, so you won't spend your whole allowance on it. I would start with maybe one or two flosses and see what you can create.

I want something flexible enough to work with, but not too soft. I also want to make the bracelets so they are fairly tough and won't break easily. What gauge (thickness) of wire should I use and should it be hard or 1/2 hard wire?
Answer:
14 and 16 gauge wire make good bangles. If you need to do any shaping, I would recommend 1/2 hard, as you bend/shape the wire in a jig, it will work harden.If you are simply wanting to curve the wire into a bangle hard should be fine. Also, if you already have lighter gauge wire, you can wire wrap the lighter gauge wire with a coil of wire around the inner core of the bangle to make it stronger. Just a few ideas to kick around! Good Luck with your project.
