Questions & Answers
Question : How far should a tennis player jog for conditioning?
I'm a high school tennis player, and I'm going to start conditioning for tennis next spring.I've heard that if tennis players, because it's a lot more sprinting than long distance running, shouldn't train to jog for very long periods of time. Instead of helping you, it would hurt you by conditioning the body to do something you're not asking it to do during a tennis match. So, the question: how much/far should a tennis player jog for?

Answer:
About half a mile to Superdrug they sell plenty there

Question : How do tennis balls work when drying a down comforter?
I was just reading a question on how to make your down comforter all fluffy again and almost all the answers said that you can put some tennis balls in the dryer to make that happen. So how does that work exactly? Why does this happen? Can you use something else rather than tennis balls? Thank you!Ami

Answer:
The tennis balls bounce around the dryer and keep the comforter from bunching up. This prevents lumps from forming with the feathers and keeps the comforter fluffy.

Question : TENNIs???????
WHEN DOES tENIS SEASON START

Answer:
The tennis season is a year-round season. The indoor tennis season - for countries that have snowy winter or snowy summer depending in which hemishpere you live in - starts when the temperature gets cooler and end when the snow's gone. The outdoor tennis season starts when the snow melts to when the temperature gets cooler.

Question : How to dress like a tennis ball without wearing a outfit that looks like a tennis ball?
We have to wear an outfit that makes us look like tennis balls tomorrow, but just using clothing we have, and not actualy making a tennis ball to wear. What should I wear?

Answer:
buy a lime green shirt at a craft shop, and put stripes (that are on a tenis ball) on your shirt, and wear white bottoms, wear green eyeshadow and a green headband. try to wear white shoes too.

Question : How come professional tennis players bounce the tennis ball their going to use before they play it?
Why don't they just hold it the tennis ball before they play it?

Answer:
I'm not a professional tennis player, but i do play tennis. The reason I bounce the ball is because it gives me time to clear my mind and concentrate on my serve rather than just standing there. Also, it gives me a feel on how the ball is, like how much air and bounce it has...which gives me a more accurate serve. i prefer to bounce the ball rather than just hit have it in my hand, it's much better! :)

Question : How do you pop a tennis ball off of the ground using your foot and your racket?
I am a definite tennis player, and its always a pain to pick up the balls after tennis practice. I've seen my coach and some other players use their racket and their foot to pop the tennis ball off the ground. Can anyone tell me the basics on how to do this?

Answer:
1. Move ball next to side of foot2. Move leg up, ball will bounce3. hit bouncing ball with racket to increase height4. grab ball with hand, simple as that

Question : How can we develop more interest in tennis in the Philippines?
Aside from basketball, swimming, bowling and badminton, tennis is one sport that I truly enjoy playing as much as watching. Problem is, there are only very few tennis courts in the country. We persist in building basketball courts (my favorite sport, BTW) where height is an essential factor for success and yet Filipinos are generally not that tall. Whereas in other sports like tennis, height is not a primary consideration. I want to indulge more in playing tennis, but there's just a dearth of tennis courts around.

Answer:
Good question. I think a good way to promote the sport is by tying up with foundations like the Andy Roddick Foundation to open up tennis clinics. If famous people get involve then I guess that's a good way of promoting it.

Question : What tennis racquet is best for beginners? And which racquet of all in the world do you like?
I am barely learning tennis, but I am planning on joining a team. I wanted to buy a racquet for beginner, since i am new to tennis, but i do not really know which one. I want to buy one for just beginners, and then buy another one, like really good tennis racquet. So please give me recommendation of a tennis racquet for beginner and for advanced players. Thanks :)

Answer:
If you plan on getting into tennis seriously, which it sounds you are, I would advise starting a small step up from a true beginner's frame.Check out these frames:http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/saleracquets.htmlI would look to stay somewhere between 10.5 and 11 oz in weight, with a slightly head-light balance (even would be fine, too). For head size, stay below 105", but you'll probably want at least 98".This will get you something that won't be too forgiving, which will force you to learn to provide a little extra power on your own. Now, these are still going to be pretty forgiving frames, and are definitely fine for a beginner to use.The other reason to go with one of these is that it should last you a little bit longer as you improve. If you buy a true beginner's frame, you'll probably outgrow it in terms of skill in a very short time.Which racquet do I like best? The ones I'm using :PWell, this is true to an extent. I've been considering a racquet change for some time now, but I need money first. But for the time being, mine are my favorite (they're pretty old-school by now: Prince More Control DB 800's, from almost 8 years ago).

Question : How can you train for tennis in the winter when you're unable to actually play tennis because of the snow?
Does anyone have any ideas or tips for how to train/get in shape/stay in shape for tennis during the winter? I can't actually play tennis due to snow and lack of indoor courts, but are there any workout routines that people know of?Thanks! There is no YMCA or indoor courts available- I live in a rural, poor, and very snowy area.

Answer:
Do thing like running up and down stairs. If you have a rope ladder, shuffle through it, run through it, ect. Shovel the area in front of your garage and use the garage door as a backboard. Lift weights. Run if you can. Push ups, sit ups, anything like that. Lunges(reverse). And stretch.

Question : How does tennis relate to the second law of motion?
I'm doing a science project on the physics of tennis and I can't find a way to word everything right so I was wondering if someone could explain to me how tennis is related to the second law of motion. Thanks.

Answer:
Well, when you hit the ball, you are applying a force to it which causes the ball to accelerate (F=ma)
