it depends on what you need it for... ask your parents for ideas. or if it needs to be a like an official ID ask them to make you a photo copy of your birthcertificate.

Question : What identification do I need when checking in at airport for kids?
My husband and I are taking the kids to Disney world this summer and have never gone with the kids before. They are 3, 6 and 8. What type of identification do I need to bring to the airport for them?
Answer:
keep copy of bithcertificate, If not traveling internationally you dont need any identification for smaller children. Over 16 need student ID. If traveling internationally then you need passports. Within the US they will check the boarding pass and ask the kids what their name is and sometimes where they are going, and if this is your mommy and daddy, for saftey reasons.Have fun, and remember to let things roll. Dont try to force the fun, We just took this trip in November with the kids and it was the BEST vacation of my life, The whole family, very little fighting and lots of fun. I really wanted to make it special for the kids and I myself was blown away by the fun and relaxation that my husband and I had. It really brought us as a couple and family closer. Tip - if you get a chance Behind Wet and Wild waterpark, going away from Universal there is a PirateShow, Dinner theatre kind of thing, that is AWESOME, a bit pricey about 50$ per adult and 30$ for each kid but well worth it(find coupons in the locate discount books) Go about 1 hour early for appetizers and a preshow, then in to tthe dining area to eat while the show is on, dinner is a choice of 3 types and beer , wine and soda are free, then after the show there is a 30-45 minutes buffet for dessert with a DJ for dancing. It was so much fun I felt like I was at a club with the kids and they could dance(clean music) while we were dancing, it ws so much fun, we got back about 12am and went right to bed. Just a tip- if you have a chance your kids will love the pirate show it's interactive and they let the kids participate.

correction....If you are with a parent you are not required to carry I.D. if you are under 18. It is sill good to have some...and a school I.D. is fine. It is odd that AA website does not address this as other airline sites do. you could CALL AA to ask for your own peace of mind.

Here is the information right form the TSA website:On April 28, 2008, DHS and TSA provided greater clarity on the types of identification that will be accepted at checkpoints in the United States.Beginning on May 26, 2008, adult passengers (18 and over) will be required to show a U.S. federal or state-issued photo ID that contains the following: name, date of birth, gender, expiration date and a tamper-resistant feature. Normally you don't need more ID because they have your photo and possibly your thumbprint on record...did they tell you to bring something? I would bring any ID I have, especially a school ID just in case...

Question : What documents/identification are needed to cross the Mexican border from Arizona and come back?
I have heard that it requires a birth certificate and state issued photo identification and I have also heard that it requires a tourist card. I am aware that a passport is not required until June 1st, 2009. I did go to Mexico early last year with only my driver's license and had absolutely no problems coming back, eventhough everyone told me I wouldn't be able to return.

Question : How to obtain a government identification card for minor child in Pennsylvania?
A passport is out of the question since both parents have to be present to obtain one.The school district does not issue student identification cards.The state only provides non-drivers identification cards to minors aged 16 and up. Does anyone have ANY idea what government agencies issue photo identification cards for minors? I absolutely need one provided by the government. The kind obtained from a UPS store isn't good enough for the specific activity for which we need a government identification card.As I stated, the DMV (drivers licence place) does not provide ID to minors under the age of 16.Winnie--The DMV is a government agency. They have non-drivers identification cards. As I already stated, I can't obtain a passport because it requires both parents to be present to obtain one. There is no other parent but me. The event my son wants to attend requires a photo ID by any government agency. A school district is the government. But my son's school district did away with student IDs.

Question : What identification, if any, is required for a child to board a commerical airliner?
I am making reservations for a 6 year old and an 8 year old. I will be traveling with them. They have no identification -- other than birth certificates. Do we need to bring the birth certificates, something else, or not worry about it?

If you are the adult traveling with the children, they don't need anything if they're under 18, and traveling domestic. International travel will require at least a passport. Government-issued, valid photo ID is recommended for children, but if it's not available, and a verified adult is traveling with the children, they are OK.
