Question : Accessories, hair and makeup suggestions for this prom dress?
http://www.persundresses.com/sheath-one-shoulder-beaded-lace-red-tencel-promevening-dress-p-907.html I feel like I need to wear some jewelry or something, but I don't really like the stuff she has on in the pictures there. I was thinking black open-toed pumps, but I don't know what to do about a clutch and stuff. I like silver better personally, but this dress seems to suit gold more (imo, anyway).I just wanted to see what ideas everyone else had :) I have green eyes, coppery-brown hair, and light-medium skin (but I'm probably going to be really tan by the time the prom rolls around).

Answer:
first of all, that is a beautiful dress!yeah i dont really like the jewelry shes wearing either.i think now that you've seen this dress with gold jewelry it does seem to suit gold more but i also think silver would make it look a bit more different/classy and i would definetely wear it with silver. as for the shoes no ones going to really see them because the dress is so long but maybe silver shoes too? i dont think you really need to wear a necklace because the neckline of the dress is enough. a simple silver bracelet on your wrists will do. you sound beautiful too so you'll probaly look great in anything :)

Question : Tell me some cool things I could do with my uniform? (requirements listed)?
Next year my school is going to start having a standard mode of dress (SMOD). I was wondering if you could help me come up with some ways to still stand out and be an individual. Any allowable pins, buttons, stickers, or other items shall be no more than 3 inches in diameter. 8. Sunglasses may not be worn inside the building. E. Hair No “cut-ins” in hair or brows will be allowed.

Answer:
OMG! If I were you I'd beg my parents to move, just kidding (not). Here's an idea since ties are allowed and they didn't forbid dress shirts, buy basic colored dress shirts and wear ties under a jacket (hooded styled but with no hood). This will make your look more modern especially if you pick the right slim fits. Blazers are also nice. Study japanese school fashion and put it within the guidelines. You should focus on silhouettes and an overall look. You could also layer your shirts, like wear a 3/4 length white shirt over a long sleeve black or checkered shirt(hopefully they allow patterns).

Hey! I'm finally pursuing the dream of starting a blog to showcase my sewing/jewelry work as well as putting it up on etsy and eBay and seeing what happens. I really just want some place where I can display my work for friends and family and potential buyers that will show how proud of it I am! However, the lack of a clever name is stopping me in my tracks! Please help! I'm looking for something clever related to crafting and sewing. Primarily sewing bc that's my main focus. Some words to help: I'm a curly redhead and super proud of it. I love love love fall/autumn. Most of my work is historical in nature. I.E. Historically accurate clothing and accessories. I used to be a theatrical costumer, my name is Julia my favorite color is green, I have a black cat named mercutio, I love nature, I live history, I speak sign language, I'm Italian, I can't think of anything else. Just a VERY random list to maybe help get the ideas rolling. I'm stuck!! Thank you!

Question : Can you make me some outfits for school?
Hiya, my other question got deleted. So yeahh. SO. if you could make me like as many outfits as you will on polyvore, (and if you dont know how to use polyvore just send me links from the stores sites), that would be wonderful! Question : Okay, we're probably going to change the date to a Sunday, is this a good budget?
$12,500 is the total, honeymoon included. This is my plan:PLATINUM PACKAGE 80 guests $6,247.74 (tax and service included)Ballroom (5.5 hr event time + 2.5hr setup) (I have no idea why they give so much time)Access to Cocktail Area / Game Room Access to Patio & Gazebo Area / Ceremony SiteAccess to Bridal Suite 1 Security Officer (I am keeping him/her for personal reasons)Banquet Chairs and Round Banquet Tables Chair Cover with Sash (color of choice) Table Cover with Overlay (color of choice) Skirted Head, Cake, Gift, and Registration Table Centerpiece – Glass Candle Holder on Mirror (she is upgrading it for free!)Ceiling Drapery DécorChina, Glassware, and FlatwareLinen Napkins (standard selection)Professional Bussing StaffFull Service Setup and Cleanup Dinner Buffet with Menu Option A Entrée (choice of 1) Starch Side Dish (choice of 1) Vegetable Side Dish (choice of 1) Salad (choice of 1) Rolls and Croissants / Tortillas Water with Ice Tea or Fruit Punch They are also setting up the outside area for guests who smoke, and giving me a deal of $150 for a fruit tree or platter and a small chocolate fountain. The venue also comes with a pool table and tvs for entertainment while we're taking pictures since it is all indoors. Now, am I missing anything from below? We're not using a limo, please don't suggest one lol$680 dress, veil, tiara, petticoat, and undergarments$350 flowers (just six attendants total for us and then our moms, his dad, and my grandparents)$100 invitations, place cards, tags (I'm getting printing for free)$50 candy bag favors (tulle bags with M&Ms in our colors, no print)$450 wine (3-4 bottles per table, it's not a sit down dinner)$300 cakes (friend is doing them for $1/slice, cutting is $1/person)$40 ‘wishing’ tree (manzanita branches and tags for wishes)$200 bride/groom pampering (nails, hair, makeup and his haircut and whatnot)$30 shoes (I'm a good shoe shopper)$950 photography (this includes 5-6 hrs, and a CD, and I think bridals and engagements as well)$275 minister (eh, I'm trying to get a friend to do this)$315 wedding party gifts (once again, small WP)$30 bridal jewelry (found a great set at DBs)$60 groom’s accessories (shoes, and whatnot)$30 postage $70 knife/cake serving set, flutes, guestbook (buying online)$50 flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow$2,500 honeymoon (not sure about this yet)We may actually have more room to save now that we're waiting a couple more weeks than planned. So does this look okay for a budget? Am I missing anything?= $12,727.74$249.74 over budget!Janice are you high? $950 for a photographer is not bad? I did WORST case scenario here. Least amount saved, with the most I would pay towards each thing. I'm not saying we want to spend that much at all. It's just a figure! I'm $250 over, but we have two more weeks to save now, and we might have raises or bonuses before that time. We might only spend $200 on flowers or $500 on a photographer. It's just an estimate. I wanted to know if I left anything off? The honeymoon is big because we are going to an island. I keep hearing that I am spending too much on the reception and not enough on the honeymoon and now here is the opposite?! We are also staying in an upscale hotel in a large city the night of the wedding. Sooooo...Oh! My friend is going to DJ, they are also setting the mood lights and colors to auto so we can enjoy something without having to pay $75.Well some of the pricing I gave you I already had in the total. Sorry if I confused you. I've gone over it three times and I am not wrong there. I love the tips. I will definitely try to do as much myself. I am going to serve one glass per person for dinner (wine) great suggestion! I just need to find a white and red as an option maybe. Depends on the dinner I assume. Red is an aquired taste, but I enjoy it myself. As I said, this is just to get an idea. I'd love to spend less on each item. I just broke it down using my own judgement instead of percentages. They didn't work for me considering the bulk of things is already included in the package. I am going to have a small rehearsal hopefully. Probably have my family make dinner since they are dying to make dinner for the wedding, they can do this instead and I would save a lot of money have it at someone's home. Thanks again!Oh and to the answerer about the postage, I'm assuming I live in a more expensive area than you. The only other place cheaper (and decent - ie not a living room in a house or a church) was $3,300 NOTHING included. Just to rent! I am not sure about attaching postage yet, but at any rate, my #'s include dates for each person and some are large families. I'm not getting personalized M&Ms, no way. The tulle bags are maybe 20 cents each. I'm not filling them to the brim either. I want to offer something edible without hassle, but without overdoing it. I hear a lot of favors get left. I never noticed favors myself. A dinner with friends is enough for me and most the people I associate with feel the same.

Answer:
There are several areas you could cut back on expenses.1) The wedding party gifts. You should be able to cut that in half if you get creative.2) Wine. Like the other poster said, just serve enough for toasts. Can the rest be byob?3) Cake knife set. Surely you can find some cheaper. Check out Target, Hobby Lobby or another party store.4) Flower girl/ring bearer. Surely you can find some cheaper. Check out Target, Hobby Lobby or another party store.5)Honeymoon. (We took a 7 day cruise and spent $1500, maybe $2000 after paying the on-board alcohol bill.)6) Wishing tree. Is this really necessary? Just leave cuts of paper on the dinner table. Are you having any music? DJ? Band? iPod?This is just my humble opinion. Do what you want. I'm just suggesting areas where I can see you can save money.

Question : I need to write up a gift list, but I dont really have anything I want. Help?
So my family keeps pestering me for a list of what I want for Christmas, but everything affordable is something I already have. The only things I can think of that I want are too expensive for me to justify as something to ask for.I dont want clothes because I have too many as it is. I dont want shoes cause I barely wear shoes so I only need the shoes I have. I dont need jewelry cause I never wear it. I have too many books. I dont need movies because I have a blockbuster online account. I dont want gift cards cause I have a stack about 4" high of all the gift cards I've been given over the past three years that have yet to be used. I dont want anything that could be labeled as junk cause I cant justify that; plus, my room is full, as is my portion of the family storage garage, thanks to all the stuff left over from when I didnt live at home and all the stuff I got out of my grandparent's estate.I also dont want an iPod (I have a classic, never use it; anything I'd use a new iPod for, I have on my blackberry already). I dont want a kindle because I hate reading screens; I much prefer real books. All the accessories I want for my DSLR are over 1000$ so I cant justify that. I dont want a purse cause I never use those. I dont want other "fashion accessories" because I find them pointless.I have an Xbox 360, PS2, Sega and N64, but cant think of any games for those that I like that I dont already have. (For reference, I prefer roll playing games and racing games.)Please dont suggest charities, because I've already listed a bunch of charities I want people to donate to (part of our tradition in my family is that you ask people to give to charities). The only things I do want are a new computer (and even all the little components I want for it are $100+ ... I'm building a computer) and the xbox kinect or PS3 (which are both over $100). So I'm not expecting to get those.I am completely at a loss of what to ask for and everyone is saying "give us a list or you'll have to live with whatever we decide you should want." which is the last thing I want because I dont want to end up with anything that is just going to be thrown into some corner of my room, never to see the light of day again. Any suggestions?

Answer:
If you can get these books, these will amuse you,and they are about class:Class by Paul Fussell and Class by Jilly Cooper. Also of interest is The Official Preppy Handbook, edited by Lisa Birnbach. Class is a touchy subject and most people aren't aware that money has only a little to do with it because taste, education, interests, manners, grooming, grammar, all count.A. He sounds upper middle class. The upper classes all tend to be slim, according to stereotypes. The only thing that keeps him from being solidly upper class is his Rolex. The upper classes tend to shy away from anything that is flashy, preferring the Cartier Tank,no second hand or scientific instrumentation needed,or the simple Timex with the grosgrain bands that can be changed to match the outfit.B. Upper to upper middle class .Her lack of accessories and choice of wearing simple pearl stud earrings point to the top classes according to the stereotype.Upper class women's earring choices are pearl studs, diamond studs or gold studs or hoops for daytime wear. She could be out shopping or on campus.C. Middle, lower middle or working class.Fat means middles down to working classes. The loud Hawaiian shirt paired with sandals and socks drops the class down further to working class...the amount of money one has is only a small part of class;this person could be a brilliant and successful internet giant, but the taste in apparel and grooming hints at lower to working class origins. He could be out doing errands or possibly on holiday,a tourist.note:Hawaiian shirts can be worn at appropriate venues and times with subtler colored trousers without damaging caste status, like at a luau or luau-themed party,at one's vacation home in a tropical clime.D. Upper class. She perhaps can be the classiest of them all,her beach apparel being quite simple and appropriate.

Question : What's your personal (ahem, rocker) style?
A question was posted not too long ago about where to find rocker clothing. What is rocker clothing though?I own quite a few "hippie" ankle-length loose skirts that I love to wear all the time. Most of the time I wear jeans with a t-shirt; today it's Guy Harvey, but I also have an abundance of school, theatre, and band shirts. I also love my turtleneck and scoop neck sweaters. (It's getting too hot for them! Ohes noes!).I usually top it off with handmade jewelry. Yes, I am the artist :)I also have a hoodie that is inseparable from me; it's from my theatre group, and I had to slog through sour eggnog and roll in baked beans and leaves before I could have it.I also wear sandals a lot, and when it's colder out, I have a pair of K-Mart brand Nonverse All-Tars that are quite comfortable as well as a pair of All-Star styled purple shoes with colorful mermaids on them :)So to all you fellow, ahem, "rockers" out there, what is your personal style?MQ: What is your favorite song about clothing?MQ2: What is your favorite song about accessories?BQ: What clothing store do you spend the most time at?BQ2: What is the most you have ever spent on clothing?BQ3: Do you ever buy anything not discounted?

Answer:
